LG VX-7000

Just got new video messaging brochures today for the store... And the phone showed on the front appears to be the VX7000! The release date cant be far off now.. a HUGE relief to those of us that have been waiting for this phone since God knows when!! 😁 😁

For those wondering and throwing out rumors about the price and release date of the vx7000, I just got off the phone with a VZW rep and he told me the following...

Release Date: 1 week from today (6/25)

Prices:

Retail- $399.99
1 year contract- $299.99
2 year contract- $249.99

He didnt even have any info in his computer about the Audiovox 9900 so I am assuming that it is being pushed back like everyone is saying. He also said that video messaging is being released on the 25th as well but did not have any prices.

I went to my local Verizon Store and asked if I could look at their VX7000 demo and they said "how did you know we had that?!"
I even had to inform them about Video Messaging on the 25th. Oh well..
Anyways, to all these negative posts about this phone - I don't know what phone you have been looking at, but the LG VX7000 I was holding in my hands today was simply AWESOME! It wasn't a "brick" by any means. It was beautiful! The screens are huge and it has so many cool options. Just to make sure I also took a look at the Sa670 and it didn't do anything for me. It was so small and it doesn't even open up fully like most flip top phones. The internal display seemed clear but it was so small. I am DEFINATELY going with the LG VX000 and...

Hi, For those testers who have seen it, how visible/readable is the screen when the phone is simply in standby...I would like to compae to Samsung a670...and that is not too readable unless you activate backlight?

Also, how is volume in ringers and earpiece?...for example, I think earpiece volume on 4400 is so so..could be better?

So how is the mp3 ringer playback going to work with this phone. Why isn't it mentioned as a feature?

Go to VZW and select any phone (you will do this after you have entered 99999 for the zip code). In the website address change the last few numbers to "1564" after the "=" sign. That will take you to the new VX7000 web page. The difference between this and just clicking the VX7000 (you will get a javascript popup that way) is that you will get not only all of the specs but also all of the accessories listed and their prices.

And another question... Can you get pic ID on the external screen??

Quick question... where is the flash on this phone? I work in a corporate VZW store and we got our dummy phone in on friday, but I cant see find the flash.. is it that light that flashes when someone calls like in that video that was posted? B/c everywhere I have read said that this has a flash..

I went to Verizon's website to check out their phone selection, and entered 99999 as my Zip Code, and the VX7000 now shows up in the list of phones. It's currently listed as "Out of Stock" and there is no picture of the phon on the website yet, but its release is quite close.

that he has, what do u guys think comparing the 7000 thats out in couple days with the 710? I know its been discussed before, but now we have real pics/videos from him. Whats the verdict?

Does anyone definitively know if Verizon is going to offer the VX7000a - which is the one with tri-mode?

-speakerphone
-bluetooth
-mp3 playback
-expansion card slot

VX7000 has none of the above according to phonescoop

What "desirable" feature does the VX7000 have that the V710 doesn't?

My local store got it in yesterday and I went down there to chk it out. Its real ugly, which didnt really bother me but it was sooooo big.Compared to my 6000, it was a brick.Then we did side by side comparisons to the 670, and the A670 blew it away in all aspects other than the fact that the 670 cant send videos.Now Im in a quandary, because I want a VM phone but geez, u guys will see, it is sooo big, so oblong, not rounded (which make it appear smaller) like the 6000.Im in a real quandary!!!!

can not wait to get this phone gonna kick butt makes for a weekend of reading the message board see what everyone else can find out next week this time we will be hacking the phone to see what else we can do with it.

Hi, for those who have seen both, what are your thoughts?...I have just gotten the a670 and like it, but wonder about the 7000. I really only need a phone, not a camera..but like a quality unit with great sound and reception....so, phone wise what do you think of the two compared?

I've been so dead set on getting the VX7000 for the past few weeks now. But after looking at the V710 today I realized how much better it is than the VX7000. It has a 1.2 megapixel display as compared to the VX7000's 640x480. IT HAS BLUETOOTH!!! which vx7000 does not. That in itself should be a huge selling point. You can video clips up to 3 min long compared to the VX7000's 15 second clips. It has 10MB of memory which you can upgrade. It has Speakerphone (office quality!!). It is just a far superior phone in my opinion, even better than the VX8000. and going to be priced almost the same. Yep, my mind is made up. I'm gettin the V710.
