Motorola V710

I have an ipaq 2215 and am trying to use the internet via my v710.. Can someone help me with the connection process. Walk me throug it step by step so that i can access the internet and search via my ipaq....also does the phone have to be open when surfing the net with my ipaq???? any help will be greatly appreciated...
