Motorola V710

Can someone give me the model number of an SD adapter, not for the transflash card into the SD card, but for the SD card to the computer? I would like a docking station type of thing if that is out. I can't use the PC card adapter which I have seen a lot of. Thanks

Okay, I'm confused about the full retail price of this phone. I read here:

that full retail will be $519.00. While I realize that the second post references Radio Shack, that shouldn't make such a significant difference, should it? So my first question is which is the correct pricing? My second question is if the $519 is correct, why wouldn't I just cancel my contract, pay the ETF, and sign a new contract which would save me nearly $100?

What is the model number Motorola battery that ships with this unit and can any of the extended batteries be used without a replacement back to accomodate the added thickness? Someone posted that this uses the same charger as the T720. Can someone confirm that the desktop charger and car chargers sold for this model will work on the V710. Thanks.

Does any one know about the mp3 capabilities with the t-flash card? I'd like to know if you are able to transfer mp3's to the card and use them as ringers???? I assume that they probably will disable that feature because that may actually make a Verizon wireless customer happy, and they wouldn't want that to happen. If it does have that feature then im sold, if not then I'll forget about this stupid phone all together. Thanks!

Just checked out hellomoto page. Front page has "V710 Coming Soon" where it used to say V710 Be one of the first. Its almost ready.

Thanks for the manual, onlymotome...looks like an awsome phone. I can't think of anything that's missing

2 questions: is there a cable and software to backup/synch data to a pc? nothing in manual about that.

can you program one of the soft keys to go right to the calender from the "home screen".

eg..change the default from "recent calls"

After reading all these bluetooth posts I am still not sure if I am right about this.

-Will the V710 work with Macs/iSync?
-If so, will the V710 be able to transfer Addresses/Numbers/Contacts and pictures using bluetooth?

My Mac doesn't have bluetooth so I am asking this because if these features do work I will buy the external bluetooth accessory from D-Link to enable bluetooth, so anyone who knows the answer to this, it would be greatly appreciated. Not really in the mood to spend 50-60 extra dollars on something that won't work with my phone. Thanks

i saw where it says that the v710 doesnt have ringer profiles. Does that mean that you cant set a certain ringer for certain people?

it's size, i know that you have to compromise because the phone has so many features but this phone is about the same size as the nextel motorola's, and i didnt like how those were so big. anyway i will be buying this phone when it comes out... 250 minus my new every two the phone will come out to $150. im happy that verizon is giving a good price on the phone AT&T is still selling the v600 for $300 with a 2 years agreement.

Do you think there would be a possibility that verizon wireless will release it a little before the actual date of august whatever?

This, my friends, is directed to all of the people who already recieved the Moto V710. How does the MP3 Ringtones work? DO you download them from get it now or something. Also, how does the MP3 player work? I dont have a MP3 player so can you download songs off of the phone or do you have to copy them from your MP3 player or something.

i am absolutely shocked at the behavior that goes on in this forum. the way people communicate with eachother in this forum is discusting. there is obvioulsy some extremely shallow behavior going on when people are cussing at eachother over a cell phone. has anyone heard of an adapter that converts SD cards to trans flash? I know it would look odd sticking out of the top of the phone, but it would allow larger capacities for the mp3 player, since I do not have a solid state proprietary mp3 player. And for those that are testing the v710 is the trans flash slot blocked with a dummy trans flash card or a spring loaded door?
