Motorola V710

Can you record your own ringers on the V710, similar to what is possible on the vx7000.

This is amazing this forum is 166 pages, and nobody actually knows when this phone will be out. This is pretty insane. In a few days this will probably be 200 pages. That is not a very lofty goal. I am just wondering will the phone be out before it hits 200 pages. We should start taking bets, LOL.

man iam glad i waited for the v710,and didnt pay those ungodly prices that some sellers were wanting!! i do fell sorry for you people, heck you could have gotten 4 for what some of the people paid 🤣

now that the phone atleast has a release date down to the month, can anyone tell me if the phone has picture id on the external display???

Does anybody know what the shortcomings are on the bluetooth. Here is the article.

"Word on the street, though, is that the Bluetooth connectivity is crippled and can only be used with a few wireless earpieces and Verizon Wireless's proprietary syncing software".

WEIRD situation, I know, but from your experience, will I get the phone at the 2 year new contract rate?

Signed up for family plan w/ my Mom and Sister. (June 30) Plan is in my name since I'm a Moto employee.

All get Samsung a670's. Me, with the intention of getting the v710 within 15 days.

14 days go by with no word on v710. I go in. Manager tells me he'll give me another 15 days (end of July) to wait for the 710.

If I wait and it doesn't hit stores, I'm stuck with the Samsung. Or I can switch back to my old phone and pay full price for the v710. He says he'll give me a few extra days on top my original 15 to decide.

3 days pass. I go in and return my Samsung. (July 17). Why? If I held onto it and ...

I have been a Verizon Customer since Feb 2002 and when my 2 year contract was up I signed another 2 year contract without getting a different phone - I just switched plans. Am I still eligible for a $100 credit to a new phone?

hey guys does anyone know when it will be released in august exactly? cuz my contract expires on the first of august, so i was thinking of maybe getting it if it is the new and improved model from motorola. ???? anyone know?????

Sorry if this is getting off of the subject of the V710, but how many other threads are? hehe.. Does Verizon still allow you to purchase a phone and pay for it through the duration of your contract. As in the $249.00 would be spread out over the 24 months of the contract?

ok, now that we have the articles, and know it is being shipped...some people say it should be available in "some" stores next week. considering the first 710 people give-away...shouldnt this phone be released to everyone on the same day? and when you recieve a shipment of new phones, about how long is it until they are put on the shelf? or do you just sell the phones as soon as they get in (disregarding any release dates).

Im assuming this will be out within the next 2 weeks if shipments are going out now. but that is just my uneducated assumption ;)

What do you guys think? I have Tmobile and my contract runs out September 4, 2004. I like the v710 but my contract won't be out when the v710 comes out. The Motorola a630 service provider will be with tmobile and it comes out in September when my contract runs out and I can probably get a deal on it. Tell me what you think? No BS on this thread.

Notice that in all of the "official" words from Motorola stating that the phone will be released in August, the spokesperson always says just "August." They never say "mid-august" or "late-august", just August. With the contest expiration date set at August first, and Phonescoop mistakenly stating the release in July, it sounds logical that the phone would be released August first. Doesn't it? Not that this is significant, but the LG7000 was also released on July 1st.

if the phone has Handsfree profile, or just the headset profile?

When the Verizon Wireless corporate stores start selling a new phone, do they typically have accessories available for sale as well? Specifically I want to know if VZW corporate stores typically have the Verizon leather swivel case available and the extended battery? I really like the quality and protection that the Verizon leather swivel cases provide and I wouldn't want to walk around with my new V710 without it.

Now maybe you nay sayers will believe me when I say something. You shouldn't ever doubt me. 😎
