I see that the v710 will take transflash. Anyone know if it is coming with a 64mb or 128 mb card or is this just one of the many additional things i will need to purchase. I have seen the Btooth headset all over ebay for under $70.00 anyone know if these are legit, due to i saw in AT&T for $119.00...

i just got off the phone with a motorola representative and she told me that she was finally told the release date for the phone this afternoon. i asked her if she could tell me but she refused saying they aren't allowed to release that information yet. anyway, i tried to convince her for a while (i did get her to tell me it WOULD be in july) before my temper got the best and i just went nuts. eventually, she just hung up on me haha. anyway, at least now the people who SHOULD know do know and we KNOW it is coming out in july (thank god).

Regarding your question the V710 will be release during the third quarter of 2004 through Verizon, please note that carrier availability is subject to testing and approval. This phone has not been released yet. All specifications and features are preliminary and subject to change.

did anyone read the feature article on the main page of phonescoop about the Y2K-type flaw in the i710's GPS system? whoops....

Everyone's been waiting for the V710 to hit VZW stores, and most posted introduction date speculation has been wrong. As for the MOTO reps -- most of them are in India, and don't have a clue. But an article posted in Crain's "Chicago Business" seems to set the record straight. MOTO officials expects "shipments to operators to be at the end of the second quarter...with retail availability and revenue generation following in the third quarter."

In what will probably be a wasted effort I thought that I would post some information about the V710's release to try to get the forum back on track. This is a V710 forum, right? Anyway, I just called Telesales (1-800-2JOININ) and told the salesperson (who was actually quite pleasant) that I was interested in activating VZW service but I need a Bluetooth handset. He immediately stated that one should be available by next week (!). I asked if this was the V710 from Mot that I had heard about. He immediately said yes and mentioned all of the advertising that is currently being run in various print media. I stated that the handset appears to have been delayed several times and asked if this was likely to happen again. He said no, it was ...

Omg! I leave for a day and the Treo 600 comes out!!! I thought I was gonna have a heart attack when I went to the Verizon Wireless site! It looks really nice, and I had already seen it because my friend has one with cingular. It is really cool, and I played around with it, but I REALLY need a Tri-band phone. Plus bluetooth is an excellent feature. Hope to talk to you all on Saturday!

I just made my monthly trip to the local Verizon store in eastern Washington State. In the past everyone in the store acted as if they never heard of V710. But today everyone knew about the V710. They have recently received Verizon email telling them about the eminent release in early August. This is progress finally! 🙂

Hello all. I've been following this forum for MONTHS now, just like many others in wait for the V710. Well i just wanted to let you know that the advertising is still growing behind the 710 and that the ad with the black dude came out in the new issue of rolling stone. 😁 I hope this is just another sign of a close release.

As we all know, MOTO's free bluetooth accessory promotion ends Aug.1. Today is the 19th and MOTO has yet to change their "PROMOTIONS" deadline commensurate to the rumors of an August release.
Until then, I am convinced of a July release.

Three weeks ago, I predicted a release somewhwere between the 13th and 23rd of July (no source). I am sticking to that although my theory hangs by a 4 day thread. Let's all agree that the phone will be released by this Friday.

Our Business account rep received training today on the v710 during this meeting the VZ Director of QC said new software was received today for additional testing if all goes well phone should be avail within 2 weeks our account rep added all was impressed with the phone

For what is worth the August issue of Esquire (with Trump on the cover) has a ful page V710 ad out. I'd guess that means soon.

Ok, since I suggested it, I'll be the 1st to start.

I spoke with my friend who manages a local store here in NY. It's an authorized retailer and not a VZW store.... He said that he gets the phones at exactly the same time the VZW stores get them and he was told that he isnt getting them again, Verizon was delaying the release.

He states that he does not know when they will be out but will tell me the day b4 or asap.

He's a very close friend and would not lie to me. He's got nothing to lose by doing so. Plus it's money in his pocket when I upgrade, so he's looking forward to the release just as much as I am. Also, he's looking to switch to the v710 and is just as anxious.

I will let you all know as soon as he tells me somet...

Hi all. I was thinking that maybe we could change this forum around a bit by focusing on the SUBJECT lines.

Maybe something like this:

Or something like that. This way we dont have to read ALL the postings. Those of us that are looking for factual information on when it might be released can read just the "New Info" postings. Those of us that want to help others out with questions can read the "Question" postings and then lastly, anyone that wants to post a comment can do so with the other heading.

Do we think this can work? It's just hard to be away from the forum for a couple of hours and then have to come back and re...
