Motorola V710

This forum/website is being taken over w/ advertisement. Any one else noticed this?

I don't know if anyone posted this. I don't post often, and I didn't read back. I just don't have time, but I thought I'd let everyone know that if you work at a VZW store or authorized retailer, there is a promo pack that I just received today for the V710

It contains a bunch of full color glossy brochures, some small handouts, and a dummy phone of the V710. Props to Motorola for sending those out to me, because I usually have to buy my dummy phones. The box is a full color box with "Ubermoto" written on the side.

Good stuff. Should be seeing them in August (as you all already know)

and both people i spoke to said its not gunna be there anytime soon.... f*cking idiots

so we all know the v710 is about to come out. All of us in this forum have so much info,tips, hints, just plain common discussion to share with eachother. I think that we should all make and unofficial v710 website/ forum for all us users out here so we can continue to share information but in a more organized. Everyone just think about a wesbsite just for our v710's. If anyone out there knows any graphic web designers or if you are 1 lets all colaborate to make sumthin amazine and keep the knowledge flowin

Just stopped by a local Verizon store to ask about our dearly beloved phone. Not only did the salesperson seem to understand about Verizon (when I asked about availability, she said "well.....you know Verizon.....might be a week....might be two....could be a month!, in addition, as soon as I mentioned my Acura TL she said "oh yes...I'd love to see how the Bluetooth works through the car!" She took my business card, made a note on it and promised to call as soon as the first units came in. I'll let you all know what happens.

Title says it all. Those ebay dicks charge $20 for shipping. What a friggin scam.

Does anyone know if the v710 will come w/ a belt clip like the v60 and t720? Or will one be available to buy separately?

Does anybody know when the ending to the v710's movie "the string theory" is going to be availible to watch? Thanks

First off, I've been reading some of this forum lately, but have not posted anything. I'm an owener of an authorized retailer of Verizon.

The v710 was approved on monday and I had a product meeting this week. The phone was brought along. The phone is the same size as the vx7000, but a bit heavier. It will come with a 1.2meg camera, flash, zoon, speakerphone, bluetooth and everything else everyone knows about. The only problem is when you talk to a sales rep they might not speak well of it, because of the past. Motorola has not been the top dog of phones for Verizon. Battery life is one things, slow software the other. I played with the headset which is the size of a quarter, folds out. I took some pics and a video with my 7000. I'm looki...

I would like to know how the calendar, contacts, email and bluetooth work. I currently use a pda phone and I would like a smaller device. If this phones calendar and address book are user friendly and easy to sync up(via bluetooth? or through a cable with my desktop) I would be inclined to switch carriers to Verizon and buy this phone. If it does not sync well with my computer and the calendar and contacts (and bluetooth) don't work well then it's just another camera phone to me. Please help me out. It can get expensive and time consuming to "trial and error test" these phones and features, not to mention one could spend a lifetime trying to find the answers to ones questions through forums. Thanks ahead of time...

When ATTWS first launched the V600 (remember how late that was from the "official" press release for a Feb 04 launch?), they made it available first to business accounts. Then they made it available to regular phone/web sales 2 days later. I was wondering if this may be the case with Verizon. I just tried to reach my corporate account exec, but got his voice mail saying he's on vacation for the next week and a half. If anyone else that has a corporate account will check with their AE to see if they have any more info, please let the rest of us know. And damn all of them if this phone doesn't come out soon. I've been preaching this phone for months at work, so they're about ready to lynch me.

This thing is great, I just got tired of waiting, I also got tired of these people posting lies about the release date. So I shelled out a lot of money for it. I hope there are no more delays, but some how I doubt it. For those people who are planning to get a one year agreement when they buy this phone.... I just got the new RadioShack flyers for next month and the V710 is in it. The price with a two-year agreement is $249.99 after a $70 MIR as the press release said. The difference is that RS only raises the price $30 for a one-year, not $50 like VZW stores. And yes, you would still get the $70 MIR. The phone obviously isn't in stores yet, but I'll be sure to let you all know when it is coming. Granted, the VZW stores will probably get it first, but how long have we been waiting so far... what's another couple of days?

Just thought give a heads up to the people like myself who hate going to the VZW stores.

Just thought i would let you al know that i spoke with my local verizon sales rep about trading my lgvx700 for the v710. he stated that "the guy we have testing the new phones had nothing good to say about the phone'. He als told me to hold on to my vx700 becasue he said it was the best phone out. Not i am confused as all hell! 👿 😈 👿 If someone can please help me decide, it would be greatly appreciated. vzw is hoping to have the v710 launched by mid august, there also releasing the v810 as well as a lower priced moto camera phone, the v710 is only going to be able to send 15 secs of video per mssg even though it can take several mins, and there may be a limatation to the picture resolution and sending it to other vzw pic phones, (kind of like the vx7000 sending video to the vx6000 and not getting the url to view it). wut is a level 2 customer service rep for vzw?? and the vzw csr ppl know as much as anyone on this post does, in fact most know less. i just hope they get it out soon and with no bugs or major problems

This phone will be the cream of the crop when it comes out but for the average person like me that price tag is really steep. I was just wondering if Verizon had a specific markdown schedule. What I mean is that they are going to milk it for all that it is worth by having the price as high as they can but when will the price go down. How long does it have to be out? Will it possibly go down when the LG 8000 comes out?? Please help me so I know if I have to go to the bank and get a loan to get this phone. Thanks.

My guess is that you've all received this email? I checked to see if anyone already posted this and it didn't catch my eye.

It says "This offer expires 8/3/04", does this mean the phone will be out before then? I feel like I've done this a hundred times already!
