really bad picture quality
Just got my V710 today and am really bummed by how bad the camera image quality is. Not that I'm expecting much from a camera phone, (I have several decent digital cameras) but this is worthless. I think there may be something wrong. Ordered on-line from Verizon since our local store is pretty worthless too... Anyway, compared to my boyfriends lesser Motorola (Cingular) camera phone, the 710 is SUPER grainy and dark. Not even close to comparable. Really think something is wrong with phone. Any thoughts?

I think it just plain sucks. No way around it. I just got mine last week and wish I could return it and go to Cingular. I'm so sick of Verizon's junk phones. And the v710 is the definition of JUNK, imo.

i was thinking camera actually broken since it sooooo bad... Compared it to several other "cheaper" phones and it was totally unusable in interior shots. Exterior not too bad. Am sending back today.

If you got the phone last week and you are not happy with it you can return it. Verizon gives a 30 day return policy. And if you are a new Verizon customer they will also let you out of your contrac If your old contract exspired and you reoped you should still be able to get out at little or no cost.
After my disapointment with this phone I returned it within 30 days and left Verizon and joined another phone company. I was tired of Verizon's terrable customer service and at least in my area high prices.
But if you are going to take it back after a week you better hury. In my area cell phone carriers are required by state law to give 30 days. But I know where my brother lives there is no such law and most cell phone carrie...

Well I thought that because I already tried out a phone for 15 days I'd be exempt from another trial. Guess I'm wrong. Just spoke to verizon and they will take it back and get me on my old plan again.
Hmm....

What is Verizon's fault: Not offering overall good quality phones that are feature rich, like Cingular for example does.
What is Motorola's fault: Plain and simple, like every other American corporation manufacturing whatever, just builds and engineers ****ty products and people buy them because it's been soaked into peoples heads; "Buy American". America may be a great country, that doesnt mean it dishes out great products of all sorts, including cell phones.
