i know a lot of people think that speakerphone on motorolas cant be used with the phone closed but it can...all you have to do is have your answer mode on pressing the key to answer not on the flip to answer....when the phone is on the flip to answer it ends the call when u shut it, but when you close it on the other mode the speakerphone stays active while the phone is shut...use it all the time on my v400

I know on my a530 that if I have the headset plugged in and the phone closed, I can call the last number dialed by holding the button that is on the wire, and conversly if the phone is closed and headset is plugged in, I can answer with the button on the wire. But if you use the headset with the phone open to dial, then close the phone to put it in the belt clip, it hangs up 😡

Anyway, it sure would be nice if Moto was updating that firmware to support speakerphone while closed so that for instance you could keep the phone in the belt clip and put it on your car visor. Then to dial press a side button and speak "Number dial 555-1212" or "Name dial Paris Hilton" 😳 and then connect you! HELLO MOTO ...

This is TRUE!
My Motorola V60s can have the speaker phone in use while the phone is closed, I really hope the v710 can do the same!
