I have a feeling that this recall is just a way to make sure that we all give our phones back to get the camera problem fixed, and end up with the new firmware incorporated into it that makes it so we can't use the t-flash card to up/dl pics and stuff off of it. It makes perfect sense that verizon would do this. they are losing a lot of potential money and picked a problem that isn't even that bad to get all the phones back and make sure that all the v710s are bringing in the right amount of money. honestly, who noticed that they had a crooked camera before this problem was made public? i sure didn't notice, it seems that if they would do a recall it would be because of other things, like things that all of us complained about? like the main...

Can I get Mobile Phonme Tools to coordinate my V710 with the phonebook and iCal on my Macintosh OSX?

I keep my phone on vibrate all day when I am at work. Much to my surprise, I was in a meeting and suddely heard the theme song to "Dallas", which is a ring I use for someone in my Contact list. I was under the impression that if the phone is on vibrate, ALL calls will be received in this manner.

Any thoughts on this?

any idea what this means? did VZW discontinue carrying the phone? I just noticed that the phone is no longer available on the VZW Website. i hope this isn't the T720 all over again...and that this means the phones will be free...

can someone please summarize what is going on with our phones if our camera is tilted or our speaker volume is low or we have scratches on our screen or in the crease of the flip...can we get new phones by going into any verizon store...or where we bought the phone...a summary please...thanx in advance

Is there a way to lock the keys on the outside of the phone so that it stops going from vibrate to ring in my pocket in class?

Mine broke last night in the celebration of the Red Sox. Does anyone know if they carry the original clips at Verizon stores or can I order it from somewhere. I don't want the swivel clip, just the regular plastic one.

has anybody had success sending via email ringtones and or videos to the v710?

I am looking for basic ring tones for this phone, preferably older tones used on past motorola phones. What I am ultimately after is a ring tone I had on my old timeport (silver star tac) that was a simple ring. Anyone have any ideas?

HA, they have no idea of any recall. They did confirm that the only problem they know of is the ability to transfer files through bluetooth. They said that the software update will have full file transfer ability. I thought it was hilarious that they knew nothing about the crooked camera. Well, lets hope the bluetooth update is correct.

why is it when I email a ringtone from allofmp3 to my phone it say file unsupported also transfer ringtone to tf card and it just vibes no sound thanks

I bought my V710 AS SOON AS I COULD at Radioshack , and I am worried that if my phone needs fixin, is VZW gonna Listen? Or just send me out the door kicking and screaming until I internally combust? And if this 16,000 waiting to be distributed, how many were sold? I thought the release was supposed to be loads more that 16,000. Any tech guys or cust support who know the answers to these questions, I would be very greatful. Thanks!

☹️ As suggested by Diego (3213) of Motorola Software Support Team, I formatted the TF card in the Windows PC and then in the 710 phone. I took a picture with my telephone camera and saved it to the TF. I can access this thru the Media Gallery, Pictures every time.

But when I copy a photo I had taken with my digital camera, reduced to 66 Kb. To the TF, I can no longer access the Media Gallery, Pictures area and, of course, cannot see that photo on my phone. Moreover, when I deleted the photo from the TF, I could still see the picture I had taken with the telephone camera, but I could not access the Media Gallery, Pictures area, and I cannot do that unless I remove the TF or reformat the TF!

Ok, so I have some "videos" that I have downloaded on my computer and I want to move them to my phone. I downloaded some video converter that converts them to the 3gp format needed to play on the v710. So I did that but when I go to play them on the phone they play at like .5 frame per second. Its really slow. They play fine on the computer and other 3gp videos that I download from fotobin.com play fine as well. Are there certain settings that need to be set when converting to 3gp such as frame rate and things like that? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated... 😳

i have finally figured out how to work the transflash card for music with everones help.

but the mp3's i am playing converted from itunes sound distorted and scratchy. Any ideas why?

I have been trying to use the transflash card for add ring tones and pix for wallpaper etc. and am having no luck. I can not find the music from the transflash in the media gallery on the phone.
