Motorola V710

i don't know if anyone knows, but you have probably saw the commercial. In the new Acura model cars (05 TL and RL), there is an option for bluetooth. I am probably going to get this phone in feb. when my contract runs out, right now im stuck with the t730. If ne 1 has used this phone with an acura please respond. 😁

I have the V710 and a 128 MB T-flash card from SanDisk. I've successfully copied a song (chain link.mp3) to the T-Flash card but I can not seem to copy anything in the other direction because every time I try to access the card from within the Sounds area of the phone, the phone freezes up and only responds to the end call button.

Someone with a simmilar experience please help me and tell me what I am doing wrong.

Is this possibly a defective T-Flash card / Phone?

Hey, does anyone know how to download a video msg. I received one from my brother's v710 but it always said, "unable to download message, try again later." Anybody have any ideas of something I may be doing wrong or whether it even is possible to d/l video msg's. Thanks.

I can take a pic with my phone and store it on the transflash card, but if I copy a .jpg pic from my computer onto the transflash, the card becomes inaccessible in the phone. This seems to be the case whether I use a Mac or Windows computer. HOW CAN I GET OTHER PHOTOS ONTO THE TRANSFLASH CARD? 😕

i just went to my local vzw store and checked out the v710. it doesn't seem that bad, especially with all the crap its getting on this board. right now i have an LG-VX6000 and for me the v710 still seems like an upgrade. Even tho its not perfect and has some bugs and whatnot. I'm still going to buy it. Anyone dissagree with me? if so, please state so and why so i dint downgrade phones. thank you in advance.

So, I go into a Verizon store to see if what I read is true about this hand phone. I actually found a place that has the phone on display, and its powered up. (In SF.) So I go to open it, and the key pad is falling off! It looks like the skin of an orange pealing off. I go to the rep, and say this to him, and he says, "Oh its no big deal, you can glue it back on." HUH?! Not for a couple hundred $$$ I'm not. What is up with these people? I ask about the bluetooth, he says that its crippled to prevent theft. HUH? I decided not to ask what kind of theft he meant by it. Cingular might be the best bet for hi-end hand phones that are somewhat similar to hand phones used in Europe and Asia. I'm not too sure about Verizon anymore.

I was trying to find a way using a USB cable and software to unlock ringtones I downloaded so they can be sent in PIX messages. Has anyone found a way to do this. I think it has something to do with a hex code tied to that ringtone but I cant find it?

Just curious, main thing is at what kbps can this unit play mp3's at? I know the I600 and I700 can play mp3's files at least 192 kbps without any problems, I was curious about the V710.

How did u get the chappel sho won your phone? I haven't been able to find it anywhere...

I've uploaded a bunch of mp3s onto my transflash card. However, when I'm reading the card on my 710, it's only picking up on half of them and yes, I did format my TransFlash card on my 710.

Why can't I set a picture ID from the memory card? It only lets me use my phones memory.

i bought the v710 when it juss came out a while ago and i juss wanna know if the v710 they have now have a better camera cuz the camera is bad the v300 camera is better than it when it comes to low light pics

I just got a 128mg transflash card and put some mp3s on it...put it in my phone and i can play them in the sounds folder but i cant set them as a ring tone...i tried changing the mp3's to midi's but i still get the same result. Im only allowed to listen to them and not set them as a ring tone. Can anyone help?

I thought I'd pass along a good v710 add on. . .

I was getting sick of the factory antenna and saw some posts for the custom v710 stubby from bluedayz that some of you posted. I have to say that it exceeded my expectations.

I thought $20 bucks was expensive but boy was I impressed when I got the antenna which fit into the phone like a glove. The most amazing part was that it was so compact in its design and professionally made - PLUS the materials of the antenna actually give me the same reception that I got with the old antenna fully extended (I have tested this fairly extensively). The guy who made this designed it so that it connects with the OEM antenna receiver in the phone, and the material that he made the stubby from...

I know u work for verizon so i was wondering if u know when the sony music box will be available for the moto v710 they said very soon last week but couldnt give me a exact date. do u by any chance know anything more on this? Or if u dont do u atleast know if it will be put on this phone ever cuz i know soem phones have been out for a while and dont have this feature...any help at all appreciated thanks!!

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone here knows when the sony music box is going to be put on the V710 phones. Ive been waiting for months on end for this site and when i called CS last week the GIN people told me tha it would be put on the V710 phones very soon that they were working on it but couldnt give me a date. so I was wondering if anyone here new more abt it like nathen since u work for verizon. any info would be appreciated thanks!! 🙂

This morning I went to upgrade to a v710. I went to Verizonwireless.com.

The web site shows that the phone is sold out. No matter I tried to order it anyway thinking that Verizon would accept a preorder on a backorded item. Instead on the second to last page before completing the order I get a message that says that this order cannot be completed due to the fact that this phone is out of stock and that Verizon did not know when it would be available for ordering.

No problem. A quick call to Verizon customer service and I might get an answer as to when it will be available.

The service rep was very nice did not transfer me, but did have to put me on hold. Her supervisor came back on in her place and asked me if I was a current owner ...

Just went to a verizon store this morning and they new about the problem with the tilted camera so i asked them if i could exchange my phone for a brand new one with the fixed camera, they had none with the fixed camera in stock. and the customer service rep told me "FYI, you can only exchange your v710 with a refurbished v710 that has a fixed camera because i had already passed up my 30-day warranty" i explained to the cutomer rep that it was a manufacturers defect so doesn't that mean i'm entitled to get a new phone, he kept telling no you can only get a refurbished. so i just kept my phone because i did not want a FRU. That's ridiculous cuz i paid $400 for a phone that was supposed to be flawless and all they can say is sorry we messed up...
