The VZW tech said my phone was fine?

I went to the VZW store to have them look at my phone to exchange it, and the camera is noticably 3-5 degrees off tilt. The tech told me that it is fine and the cameras with the tilt problem were like 45 degrees off. Anyone can confirm what the real camera issue is? He insisted my camera was fine.

Also, is everyone elses camera VERY grainy when pictures are taken indoors?

CNet: Verizon Wireless pulls phones from shelves.

What a mess the V710 has turned out to be. I'm a V710 owner and part of me regrets buying this phone...part of me doesn't. I guess as long as my V710 makes and receives call then I'll wait it out until my contract is over. I'm in the NY area where AT&T service isn't that bad, so switching is def. an option...

Yahoo mobile web (Verizon page sucks)

Waiting for my new V710 but while waiting I can no longer deal with Verizons start up page on the mobile web. I changed the start page to yahoo mobile, which is so much faster and better. The only problem is, I have to keep restarting the browser, because if I don' whenever I log on Verizons home page comes on. As soon as I restart the browser, it goes to yahoo. How do I make yahoo permanent? Also, anyway I can change the settings that whenever I start the browser, I don't have to go back to the homepage. Its a pain in the ass whenever I look at scores and than when I go back in five minutes later, I have to go through the long process of finding the scores. Thanks

Bluetooth problem may not be Verizon's fault

I recently posted a link http://www.wirelessimports.com/ProductDetail. asp?ProductID=407 where users can purchase a non-branded V710 and then decided to ask them this simple question before purchasing:

Q: Does your V710 have full Bluetooth capability including file transfer
features which are disabled on the Verizon sold phones?

A: No, our V710 is the same as Verizon's.

syncing with service pack 2

Has anyone flat out not been able to sync besides myself. I've read the forum front and back, tried version 3.11 first, 2.21f after reading the forum, 2.21b as per the motorep requests, found the drivers recommended in the forum via removing the other drivers to another folder...

Finally i got a guy at moto that said, "sometimes it just doesn't work with outlook 03, or it could be sp2, or your antivirus on."

I've disabled McAfee VirusScan, but still no luck. I'm not sure if i can go back to when i didn't have sp2. Right now the software loads, initializes, and reads via the usb but after i click the phonebooks icon, or go to it via the menu, it brings up the window, says opening in progress and closes down. Makes me think its the ant...

Official Hellomoto ringtone for your v710

Hello everyone,

For those interested here are two files that can be used as a ringtone for your v710 phone. I took the audio from a flash file on the hellomoto website.

Simply right click and choose save target as for this file, and save it to your transflash card.

Or right click and choose save, to your desktop, then email this as an attachment to your number at vzwpix.com ([email protected])

V710 and Palm Zire 72

Ok,
I just bought a Palm Zire 72 hoping to use the bluetooth connection to allow web capability on PDA. It seems like some of you may know how to do this. Can someone out there help me with a step-by-step direction? The bluetooth menu on Palm does not have Motorola as an option ( shows Sony, Siemens, Nokia) for connection. I am hoping there is a way around this. Verizon points to Moto, who points to Palm, and no one has been able to step up and help. Frustrating... By the way, I do have BT working for phone and headset, and phone and UConnect in Chrysler 300, so I know the BT works on the 710

Mobile Phone Tools 3.11

Has anyone played with 3.11?

I opened up mpt and it found an update and updated from my old version 2.21f to 3.11. I was wondering if anybody has been able to transfer from mpt to the phone using the new version.

Thanks,

Although the camera sucks in low light, in my opinion it's still a decent outdoor PHONE camera

Hey guys,
I'm also a little upset that the camera on the phone is basically useless indoors, the flash is good for when I can't see the keyhole to my door...oh wait I forgot, I just flip my phone open and there's enough light to illuminate the entire front of my house 😁
All kidding aside, I'm still pleased with this phone's ability to take pretty decent photos outdoors. In comparison to some lower resolution phones w/o the mega-pixel resolution (I'm just an average Joe so please don't ask me to quote model #s) this phone performs to my taste. I took some pictures the other day while I was riding on my motorcycle doing 45mph and surprisingly they came out pretty good. I know some throw away cameras that can't do that.

So what's going on?

So what is going on?...Is there going to be a recall or something...How are us V710 owners going to be able to get our phones fixed or replaced? I'm a bit confused. My camera quality is terrible, and doesn't display the colors very well...Will someone please inform me on what is going to happen to those who own V710's? Thanks in advance 😎

Brand New Jabra BT headset released, BT110, 15 HR LIFE!

😁

Just found this today on the jabra website, I clicked the link and it took me here:

http://www.hellodirect.com/catalog/Product.jhtml?CAT ... »

New headset for only 69.99, and it has 15hr life.

Uses a standard AAA battery, so you can pick them up as you go, or what I would do is get some 15 minute rechargable ones from RadioShack, and keep a couple in my car or my pocket.

Does anyone have a review or own this headset yet?
