HS820 or HBH 660??

I am contemplating on which headset to get. I have heard many good things on the hs820. But I have also heard a few good things about the Sony hbh660. It has a little caller ID on it so you dont even need to look at the phone and it supposedly has really good reception. Any input/suggestions?

When will Verizon's Analog be phased out?

When will Verizon phase out their analog service? I know that there is a future date set by the fcc, that says analog must be phased out.

hot synch and other apps

Hello, I would like to know of anyone’s experiences with hot-synching this phone to desktops etc. I have a Treo 600 and my wife would like to get the V710. We both need to synch to outlook to get a combined and updated calendar and contact list. Does the V710 do this well.

I also have heard that you can use "other applications" with the V710 using the expansion cards. What other kinds of apps can be used, what format do they need to be in (palm os, text. Etc.) how do you access these apps or data on the expansion card, does the office software package that you have to buy extra (cheapskates) allow these kinds of interactions. Nether Motorola or Verizon have any documentation about how any of this works.

Any help you could be wou...

Thank you for your recent correspondence with Motorola.

As per your reply, Motorola is developing a firmware upgrade at carrier's request that will restore the OBEX profile on the V710. It is scheduled to be released in November for Verizon customers. However, this quoted timeframe is not meant to be construed as a guarantee.

For further information, please contact your service provider in order to check the status of availability.

Big news has arrived

This is from a HoFo (Temporary V710 Discussion)post a couple hours ago. Believe it or not, I'm just the messenger:
----------------------------------------
Everybody slow down & take a deep breath...getting worked up in a frenzy here. Big news has arrived:

I just spoke with VZW business customer service manager, and the new hardware corrected phones with the new firmware WILL be shipped out this Friday 10/29 to all stores; so it might take a day or two to arrive in stock locally. Let's not waste energy, it's only a couple days away, then we can make a determination what the best course of action will be.

Have 'they' listened to us? Yes. Will they deliver as originally promised? We're going to find out.

To all those who said the i...

Warrenties and VZW

There has been alot of talk about Verizons crappy policies on warr replacements and exchanges on this and every message board.

I would just like to remind everyone that Verizon wireless does not Warrenty any phones. Manufactures Warrenty phones, hence why they call it a Manufactuers warrenty.

Warrenty Policies are set by the Manufacturer. They all have similar clauses to there warrenty, about physical damadge done to the phone and the like. They all also set different usage limits as to when a deffective phone should be replaced with a brand new, non refurbished unit.

These are not Verizons rules.

Also I would like all of you to try and warrenty replace a piece of electonics you buy at Best Buy, or any other store. They are g...
