Boooo Hooooo....

Phone doesn't work with the Motorla Bluetooth adaptor... Per Motorola, that is OK... It will be fixed one day and they will continue to Advertise and sell the adaptor...

"Dear Michael
,
Thank you for contacting Motorola e-mail support one more time.

Regarding your concern, we deeply apologize for the inconveniences caused. The BlueTooth adaptor and Mobile Phone Tools are actively advertised as a way to sync the V710 with the computer on the Motorola website, because they will"... one day... " be compatible. The fact that they do not work with the V710 at this time has been identified, and you will be able to go to Verizon and get a software upgrade within the next 60 days. Motorola does not consider this as false ...

This does sound serious. Reading the posts, now I'm confused.
If I understand the posts, the v710 will not work as a Bluetooth modem with a pc.

But will it work as a Bluetooth modem with my Bluetooth-enabled iPAQ 5455?

Thanks!

I did read your post. I've also read several others posted since that seemed to contradict your post. Hence, the "I am confused" beginning of my post.

My apologies for asking for clarification............

Sorry - my post was an attempt to lay to rest people's questions about the use of the V710 as a modem, and it's too bad there's so much misinformation. Here's what I know with certainty as of August 4, 3:40pm PT:

You can use the V710 as a modem with National Access or your own dialup ISP. QNC doesn't work yet as no one has posted whatever init strings to make it work with #777, and I have tried everything I know at this point to no avail.

The V710 *can* be used as a modem over bluetooth.

Again, sorry for being a jerk. Liars have been getting to me lately. If the V710 is going to get bashed, I'd like to see it bashed on legitimate concerns like flimsy plastic construction rather than lies just because people can't read a manual.

Thanks for the reply. I am anxiously waiting to get the phone. It sounds as if my needs will be fully met. Your statement:

is extremely on-point. As with every new technology, there are issues and glitches, not all of which are conspiracies and grounds for legal action.......

I am very new to this forum, but the overwhelming tone is definitely negative and somewhat unrealistic.

Again thanks!

Unfortunately, we can not cred...
