Motorola V710

Anyone had any luck synchronizing a calendar? Either over bluetooth or the internet... without using Get it now or simliar crap.

I haven't purchased this phone yet and I'm trying to assess buying it to fulfill my VP's need for synchronzing his calendar on a phone without getting him a smartphone or blackberry.

This is the only phone offered by verizon that has SyncML and a Calendar. Not to mention bluetooth, though it sounds like this probably doesn't work with that.

Just got back from my local Verizon Retail Store. Spoke with my friend who is the Mgr. He let me play around with the phone for an hour - it is AWESOME!! I have NO clue as to the negative postings or reviews - guess that's what makes the world go 'round.
Anyway they already recieved 10 this week and will probably recieve some more in tomorrow mornings shipment. It goes on sale tomorrow upon the store opening!

I keep hearing that people are paying over $500 dollars for their phone. Did you purposely pay for them in full because you're on contract, or are some Radio Shacks only charging full price? That's stupid... For the record, I paid the normal Verizon 1-year promo price for my phone (with the $70 rebate) at a Radio Shack so to anyone else who is confused, Radio Shacks are and should be honoring the promotional prices.

I have been watching this forum for the past two weeks anticipating this phones release. I have checked with Radio Shack every couple days and also with Verizon stores. I even have a friend who works at a Corporate Verizon store. All three places have not even put thier hands on the phone nor know anything about its release. I got an e-mail yesterday direct from Motorola saying that Radio Shack & Verizon are now BOTH carrying the phone. Much to my excitement...still no phone.

I live in Michigan. Am I alone in this? Does anyone else out there in Michigan (Detroit) have this phone?

I just got off the phone with a customer care rep at 800-201-7575. I asked them about my order. They said that the item hasnt been released by Sandisk yet. I told them that several people have gotten confirmation that they ordered it and its being delivered. They had no answer. Can anybody who purch the item this week and has received it, can you please post your order # or email at this address [email protected]. I need to go back to them and show proof they actually are shipping the item.

I returned my Motorola V710 today for a full refund at the Radio Shack sine I paid full retail price. I was not charged a restocking fee or any other type of fee.

I told him I was returning it because Verizon Wirless will offer it for $100 (full retail) less and showed him the PDF file that someone posted a while back of the Motorola V710 from Verizon intra-net that I printed out.

The saleperson then called his manager over and they both looked through the papers. The manager then offered to give me $100 worth of accessories, but I declined. He then offered to match Verizon Wireless' price of $419 but I declined and was issued a check.

The bottom line is, that Radio Shack manager was willing to match the $419 full retail price on ...

I remember somebody talking about MPT 3.11e release candidate testing. Has anyone out there with a beta version been able to get their Outlook calendar synch via bluetooth working with this release? Is this phone just going to be an expensive paperweight with respect to that?

Hi I have a couple of questions. First why did RS get the phone before Verizon? I am in SC and the Verizon stores still "have no clue" when they will have the v710 or what the price will be. Next question, RS says the phone is $319.99 for a 2 yr contract with a $70.00 Mail-In rebate. Everyone is giving different prices and I would like to know why there is such a difference in price? 🙄

The camera is absolutely the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen.. I took 30 pictures today/tonight at an outdoor concert at dusk and they are unusable..

I brought my Samsung A670 and took some with that and they are 10000 times better and visible..

This V710 is pissing me off.. At this price and all this time waiting, they really should have done better than this..

The Low Volume earpiece and the Camera problems and the huge size are making this to be a piece of dirt.

Motorola will fail again with this junk.

I am amazed at how people are getting psyched to buy this thing when half the features stink but they did it with the 720 also. We need to wake up and buy something else..

THROW AWAY THE BELT CLIP THAT COMES WITH IT AND BUY SOMETHING ELSE. I HAVE OWNED THE PHONE FOR 8 DAYS NOW AND IT HAS FELL OFF MY BELT 3 TIMES. OTHERWISE IT'S A NICE PHONE, YOU'LL LIKE IT.

Hey all, I've been waiting for this phone since April...checking the forum daily. But as of lately (as you've prob seen) I've been reading so much negative feedback on here. "The camera sucks", "I've got dust under the lens", "The pic id is cheesy" or "It's been over hyped." I'm starting to think I shoulld just go for the VX-7000 instead. Anybody have any advice? 😕

Inorder for me to get the mp3 songs to my phone i have to connect my phone to the computer. To connect my phone to the computer i have to buy the data cable. Do i have to get the software also?

What do i have to buy to get the mp3's to my phone and does anybody know where i can buy it.

I read a post on here a couple of days ago where someone claimed they downloaded and watched the Bourne Supremacy on their v710 through the use of a tflash....I've been downloading mp3s fine, but can't seem to get downloaded movies to play....can anyone help?

Hey, I was just wondering what the volume is like from the external speaker for mp3s on the v710. The ringtones I have currently are very loud, however, the two sample mp3s that came with the phone do not seem to be as loud. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I was told by an alleged supervisor at VZW that I cannot sign up for another two years if I still have a year to go on my current NE2 contract. He claimed it was against federal law to sign anyone to a phone contract for longer than two years at a time. Can anyone verify this?

does anybody know how to put the mp3 songs onto the v710

Would anyone be willing enough to give a DETAILED description as to how you can transfer MP3 files (to listen to and for ringtones), Midi files, etc. to the phone AND get them to be recognized by the file system for use? It would be appreciated.
