Motorola V710

Does anybody know if you can talk on speakerphone with the phone closed?

Verizon will get this phone, its going to be released on the 11th of this month and will cost 319.99 with a two year contract with a 70.00 rebate...the phone looks amazing but dont go out and buy it right away!!!! ehem uhh look at the 720, 730 v60p and v60s all were totally crap!!!! moto has a bad track record with Verizon phones and their port on the bottom sucks its always wears out u cant charge ur phone, and all the moto phones i had and my pops got they dont connect their calls and u have to hang up and call again bc moto dont used their qualcome chips they used their own, and their more money then other phones and they used old old battery's, (270 battery used in v60P)...moto seems really cheap quailty but really expensive product!!!!D...

For anyone wanting to use QNC I found the solution that works reliably everytime. You need to go into the service menu (the keystrokes are available in other posts and on HowardForums). Once you are in the Service Menu select the 7th option down which is "Data Rates" the default is "Data Rate" is set to "153.6/9.6" if you select "Change" you will have a list of other rates, from there select "14.4/14.4" (it will show a check next to your new rate) then select "BACK" then "EXIT". Now go into your PDA or Laptop and try you QNC setting. Make sure that the additional dialing strings field is empty. If you want to go back to 1xRTT speeds do the same thing and change the Data Rate back to the "153.6/9.6". These are the only two setting that w...

🙂 I dont know if you all know but verizon is now selling the phone. Here is the link and you can select the plan you want and everything. You dont have to wait till August 11th 2004. Let me know what you guys think.

I have a question about where to get the v710, i went to RS today and was about to buy the last v710, i couldnt buy it because my mothers name was on the account so i couldnt change anything but the man said he would hold the phone for me till tomorrow. im due for a new phone so it will only cost me 250 with new plan, but what are the disadvantages about buying a phone from RS and not VZW local store,if there are any. i heard something about not being able to exchange the phone if something happened to it at a VZW store if bought from RS (true or false)

Basically all the really want to know is should i buy it from RS tomorrow or is it just better to wait for it to be released from VZW on the 11th, also i am on a family plan and can get th...

I have had the phone for 2 days now. No problems, I purchased the HS820 along with the phone at radio shack. I only want the ringtones through vzwpix.com and I would be set. Otherwise It was well worth the wait. Everyone should get this phone, I just want to know the S/W update policy, VZW has to upgrade it correct? I did buy it at RS, but the new policy is to fix any phone, right?

I have heard some people talking about the phone arriving to the verizon stores already. I even read a post of sum guy that actually played with the phone at the verizon store from there shipment. Can anybody or that person confirm the new firmware on the phone. Is the camera better when u used it. Tell us, instead of making us guess. Tanx

First off, the price of the phone is the same as at radio shack and Verizon confirms that. Same rebate as well. Secondly, if Verizon doesnt have the phone on the website, and their customer reps are stating that no one will have it till the 11th, then how can one order it? There is too much b&ll Sh%t in this forum. The bottom line is verizon will have it in store on the 11th, and the price is identical to RS.

I went to the Warren, NJ Store today and asked when the v710 would be avaliable. The guy swore by August 11th. He even showed me a print out of the shipping order, to be recieved Tuesday, Aug. 10th for sale on Wed. Aug 11th. He already recieved a shipment of bluetooth headsets (he had about 30 HS-820 headsets boxed up sitting near his counter, but not hs-810's) He also recieved the mail-in rebate coupon booklets. Hopefully this store will get the phone soon, especially since Verizon has a network operations center about 2 miles away from this store (also in Warren, NJ. I would know, I applied for an internship there.) Plus, It's only 10 miles (maybe less) away from Bedminster, the headquarters of VZW.

Has anyone had experience with any of these brands of headsets? Wanted to know if they were decent?

I want to get my accessories now and wanted to know what batteries will work. If an extended battery is available, does anyone know if it can be used without putting on a thicker back? Will DC power cords or desktop chargers designed for the T720 work with this model?

Verizon phones rings for 25 seconds and the ringtone ripper cut mp3's at 20 sec. Anyone knows of any other program to edit the lengh of the ringtones?

If you hated the way Motorola handled the v710 Promotion. Do something about it. But what ever you do stop bitching here.

Call, write, email Motorola and let them know how you feel. If you fail to get satisfaction. Return the phone for another manufactures model and let MOtorola know that you will no longer use there products.

If you are dissatisfied with the way you were treaded at Radio Shack do the same thing. Radio Shack is not the only third party Verizon dealer.

If you are not happy with Verizon. Go to another carrier.

But the important thing to remember is to take some action. Stand up for your selfs and let the company know that you were dissatisfied. Oh and stop posting nothing but bitchy remarks about Verizon, Radio...

Someone mention that the V710 is coming out tomorrow and i would like to confirm it. My cuz started to work at the verizon store in Forest Hills today and he said that they are releasing the phones tomorrow. And also all Verizon Stores will be releasing them upon quantity in stock. Another thing he told for those of you who purchased it at radioshack you can dial *228 and select option 1 to update your software cause there will be a minor release tonight at midnight. you should also do it once every 30days. Now about flashing your phones you have to wait till october 1st for the full release of the second software upgrade.
