Too bad we cant make this sticky!!!

Buy.com: says they are in stock, but they are NOT, they delay and delay, few people have received them from them, they are bad to deal with, no means of communication other than email which gets an automated response...I had to cancel my order

Amazon.com: says they are "pre-order" NOT true, when free shipping is used they ship the transflash the SAME DAY, and it is usually received the next..unbelievably good service, A++++

ALL Transflash cards DO COME WITH the adapter. Period, no matter where you get it.

Bottom line: If you want one, the 128 meg from Amazon is the best way to go by far. $33.99 with free shipping, received the next day or second day after ordering.

Guys i was one of the first to own V710
and when they started registration i tried to register mine but it kept saying server error.. so im not sure if i did register
what should i do ?

I went back a few pages but I couldn't find an answer. Sorry if this has been covered. I keep reading little bits about upcoming firmware for this phone. Do the RadioShack 710's have different firmware than the upcoming VW 710's? What can we expect from the new firmware?

Thanks a lot... I'm trying to decide if I should return my new VX7000 for a 710 in a few days.

I have the USB cable and MPT. I have used it to update address and calendar.
I don't see anyone that has had success using other programs to add MP3 or Pics to phone memory.
Is the only way by Transflash card?

The phone is definitely not AS BIG as people say.. its a nice size. feels well built.. But i just dont like the keypad. Just doesnt feel right. somethign weird about them. ANybody that has the phone.. Does the keypad feel weird? Does it feel like it can break or something very easily?

is verizon offering this phone?
I wanted to get the new LG7000 but its TOO expensive.

Well, I finally got my v710, but I can't seem to get a bluetooth connection working properly on my ipaq 4155.

Everything starts out well - I set a passkey, enter it on my phone, the phone acknowledges the pin, and then the ipaq tries to finish up the 'service discovery' and i end up with an error saying: "An error occured while attempting service discovery. Please make sure the remote device is turned on, Bluetooth is enable and the device is discoverable and try again."

I'm soo close I can taste it...

Anyone have suggestions or tips?

new guy here just wanted to know what is the $$ for current VZW customers? I checked out the vzwshop link a few threads down but it treats you like a new customer. My contract is up in Dec should I just wait till then?

Hey, I have 20 Mp3 songs on my transflash but it only plays one at a time. Is there a way to select all my songs so it will play them all?

Anybody know if the phone is really goin to be able to be upgraded by calling *228 and choosing option 1?

I just called my local VZW store (Independence, OH) and they said that they will be selling the phone on 8/13. I was hoping it would be sooner but at least it's the first concrete date provided from a store rep. So looks like here in Cleveland we are one week away.

I've had VZW for about 8yrs and I wanna get the 710. My 2 yr contract is up and ready to upgrade.
Do i have to cancel my service and sign up for a new one or can i upgrade with the 710?
VZW customer service stated i couldnt upgrade, but had to "newly activate."
Can someone help me on this. i cant lose my number.

Stores have to recieve something to sell that thing. So if you ask when is the release date the computer says the 10th, the store could have it the 11th, or the store might not have it until the 15th or later. For example, My store gets shipment on fridays and supposedly no shipment today so its going to be sent next friday and sold probably on saturday. They aren't holding the phone until the 11th or 15th, they just don't have it yet until the 11th or later.

I read that the Openwave browser version that comes with the v710 supports xHTML. As anyone found this to be accurate? Sites like Yahoo are supposed to be xHTML friendly. I would really like to see some webpages in something other than WAP mode.

I'm really lost. i just got off the phone with a couple of stores. Once again, the Warren, NJ store said the 11th, but both the Watchung, NJ and the Bridgewater, NJ stores said they're not going to be selling them till the 15th. ☹️

I've been reading up about this phone ever since I first saw it in the Latest Phones section of this site a while back. I was originally going to get this the day it came out but I haven't as of yet. I've read everything more or less you guys have said about this phone positive and negative but I still can't decide if this phone is worth buying. Like without this forum and User Reviews section I wouldn't even have a reason to not buy it; it would be automatic. So please tell me once again what the majority of you who own the phone think of it?
