and you all previous motorola owners know what i'm talking about it.

Previous motorola phones V60, 720, 730

would had 4 differnt entries for one person.
and when u go in the phone book for example:
it would say

john-mobile
john-home
john-office.

all other phone manufactures, lg esp are so much more user friendly..

is the V710, sticking to its predecessors when it comes down to the phone book ?

So is the phone worth the money because i have heard a lot of bad things about it?

I have the HS 820, but I usually leave Bluetooth off to conserve battery unless I really need it. Often when I try to turn on the phone's Bluetooth and establish a connection with the HS during a call, it drops the call. Has anyone else experienced this?

Much as I'd love to have the thing now, I've never been one to care if I had it first. I've never paid much for a phone before, and the thought of spending $300 seems odd. Does anyone have experience with the timeline of price drops on a newly introduced, high end phone like this? I.e., will it be $150 in a couple months, or will it take a year to drop $50? Or, do any of you want to sell me yours cheap when the next hot thing comes out next month 😁

i emailed the mp3 to my phone and it works but it doesnt replay it. It only rings once. Does anybody know how to change that

Ok, now that the people waiting for Verizon Stores to have this phone are out of luck with the Motorola promotion, does anyone know a good deal on a headset???

can anybody who owns a v710 and has listened to mp3's on their phone give me an idea if there is a big difference between the quality of sound in comparison to cingulars "real song" ring tones?? 😁

I've read that a lot of peoply in NYC have gotten their TF cards from Amazon already.

Anyone outside of NYC get them, particularly in TX, where I am? Trying to decide whether to cancel my order.

here's the deal... i'm leaving to go on vacation on monday 8/9... i'm headed to the greater new england area. i'm pretty convinced my local corporate verizon store won't sell me a 710 early (assuming 8/11 is the sale date).

if i'm elegible for the promotional price (need to renew my contract), can i buy the 710 at a boston-area VZW corporate store, or do i need to go to a store in my "home area"? (i live outside of DC.)

anyone know? by the time i get back here on 8/18, i have a feeling they'll be out of stock...

Does anyone have a guess of all that will be different and better from the phones they sold at RS first and what the phones have on them now due to the updated firmware?

I spent the last 40 mins trying to get the stupid ringtones on the phone using the email route
it just sends them to the website not my phone

Motorola claims that you can use the speakerphone with the phone closed. They say just close the phone when speakerphone is on. For some reason i cant do this, it just ends the call whenever i close the phone. Im just curious if this happens for everybody else or is there something i have to do to set it up so it doesnt end the call. Thanks

I was just curoius if anybody knows if it will be possible to change the housing on this phone yet? or at least changable faceplates.....

for AIMers you can hit the CHAT icon at the bottom of your buddy list and then you can use my buddyname "markemotion" as the buddy to invite and just put MOTO V710 as the chatroom name and just leave the invite text field blank.... unless someone knows another way on the PC side

I was reading posts from yesterday in reference to the software version of these phones and I can't find the version of my phone. Why?...I don't have the "Phone Status" option on my phone. This would be located in the settings menu. Did anyone else encounter this? ☹️

Seems like everyone on here has this phone. Can anyone give me a gooooood run down on this phone? I am seriously considering this phone but am trying to decide between it and vx7000. I have heard that the moto's video is great, that it sucks, same with the pictures, that the phone is great, that the keypad sucks, that it runs beautifully, that it has tons of bugs. I am seriously lost!!! If you have explored both pretty in-depth, could you let me know the real skinny? Also, if you have by chance gotten this phone from Verizon (i don't think anyone has but just checking), how does the interface differ from pre-loaded firmware? Thanks.

Just an fyi..

I have been calling back and forth to radioshack and verizon to sort out pricing and contracts. Finally the guy at verizon told me that since I am eligable for the early upgrade,(no new every2) that I can purchase the phone from a verizon store when it is released, and I will not have to sign a new 2 year contract, but I will get the phone at the 2 year contract rate, 319 - 70 mail in.

The radioshack stores which I called, all gave me the same pricing, but all insisted that I needed to resign my 2 year contract.

I'm about to buy my V710 at a RS, but I need your opinion.

Should I buy the phone from RS on this Thirsday or wait until it comes out in VZW?

I don't really care about the cost, but are there other advantages or disadvantages of getting it from VZW or RS.
