Motorola V710

I'm on the checkout page for the TF card and adapter on Amazon, and it say it will ship in October. Is this what those of you who have 'em already saw too?

Also, if they are shipping now, how fast do you get them?

So, I have the a580, and its a p.o.s., and I've only had it for 6 months now. So I can't upgrade.

I want to know if any one here has had any problems setting up a new line to avoid that $175 fee for buying a phone outside of your upgrade period, by adding a new line to your account, and then canceling it the very next day?

I used to tell people to do this all the time when I sold Sprint phones, I just want to know if Verizon has any safe guards against such practices... Let me know. Thanks

Those that purchased the phone from Radio Shack paid $100 more for the phone than will those of use that will get it from Verizon. Those people all seem to have gotten free BT accessories. So in reality, they paid for the items, and paid too much. They are not worth $120, they are worth $40-60 on ebay, so VZW purchasers will actually pay less overall for a BT accessory and the phone than RS purchasers.

Was this perhaps Moto's plan from the start...this way nothing is really given away for "free".

Whats the deal with the 710 email i rcvd from vzwshop. You cannot finds the 710 on verizonwirelless.com. But the email link from motorolla points to vzwshop where you can purchase then it says to allow 10days shipping... Anyone get this

I thought the phone was gunna be availible through Verizon Wireless today? Do I have to wait till next tuesday to get it through them? ☹️

All, I somehow managed to get QNC working on the V710 via my Clie UX50 last night. The problem is, using the same profile I couldn't duplicate it! After I connected once successfully (I got the little 0101010 circle icon on the display) and disconnected, when I tried it again the phone switched back to packet data on the next try.

All I know is that I was mucking with:

Connect to [modem/PC/phone]
Flow control
modem speed
added AT&C2 to the init strings (already had at$qcmdr=2 and at$qcqnc=1 in there)

Something among that combination made it work just once. So there's hope for people that don't have National Access, but it's not solid yet.

How does the holster feel for the V710? It is not swivel correct? Looked to be pretty sturdy, just looking for a review. Thanks all.

I have reread the rules of the promotion on the v710 conducted by Motorola.

It says quite clearly: "New customers only. Customers with previous accounts (retuning customers), or existing customers are not eligible."


It also says something I am sure we are all familiar with:

"Void where prohibited by law." and "At participating retailers."

PARTICIPATING--Verizon simply was not a participating retailer.

Last week there were several early adopters who, even though, they had Verizon accounts they had to have this phone.

They crowed like a rooster that they were one of the first to buy there phone and that they were sure to be one of the 710 winners of the promotion. And they got a 100 phone credit on there bill. And they w...

OK...

I get the first 710 registering as a qualifier, but how can they state open availability? Not everyone would buy from RS nor would everyone be getting new contracts through the online service. Therefore the promo was not OPEN and violates the "first come first serve" notion if there wasn't a level playing field. In this litigious nation what's one more class action?

hey does anyone know where i can buy phone tools i looked at compusa, verizon wireless, radioshack the only place that i can find is motorola.

Is august 11 still the official date for vzw to start selling this phone? Any place to read an official statement that vzw will start selling the phone on 8/11, OR IS 8/11 JUST A RUMOR?
