You DO know that these are TESTER phones right?

The phone being released by Verizon Wireless on 8/11 is not the tester that Radio shack is selling now. I just wanted to make everyone aware that there are fixes being made to the phones and software/what not that OUR release will have included. Any bugs now could be the result of the fact that these are not going to be the final version released (radio shack)

To People who Took Pictures of V710

Thanks for doing so and I've found them really useful. Just one small request. Can you please take a picture of it when the backlighting is on? I never seen white backlighting before. Thanks

Corrupt wallpaper?

I got the V710 on Saturday and have loved it. It says that my "Sharp Edge" wallpaper is corrupt. It is the animated sharp edge. Anyone else have this problem? How can it be fixed?

Motorola Promo Leaves VZW Store Customers in The Dust

Since people who choose to buy at the VZW store have to wait until the 11th, Motorola started their contest and it will get filled by RS purchasers.... This sucks for people who want to buy from VZW...

Sad Day in VZW V710 Land

Looks like this list will indeed make 300 pages. It is sad though that 200 of them are whining about what people did or did not get. Could we please start to focus again on real issues that the V710 does or does not do. Okay so maybe one last whine. What is with the lame ending the the "String Theory" video. The phone is like a living breathing DEITY compared the the ending of the video. Any self respecting Kindergarten class could have been more creative than that. Talk about a waste of bandwidth.............

v710 Bluetooth handsfree crippled

As an owner of a 2004 Lexus LX470 and a recently purchase Motorola V710 I have finally had a chance to see how the two integrate with each other. Overall I am impressed, expect for one major issue...

When receiving an incoming call there are no audible alerts whatsoever. A) On the vehicle, the telephone window pops up on the navigation screen, detailing caller information and allows the driver to accept or decline the call. There is however, NO audible alert or ring-tone produced by the vehicle. B) When locked into bluetooth mode, the V710 goes absolutely silent. NO keypad OR ring tones. This has been a problem particularly when standing outside of my vehicle (within bluetooth range - while the vehicle is turned on). When receiving a call...

I need help...

I would really like to have this phone. I've renewed my contract already (didn't find out about the v710 until afterwards). Is there anyway I can get the "hook-up" or anything. Like could a Verizon Wireless clerk sell the phone to me for the 2-year contract price anyway? I am a college student and I do not make a lot of money. Could someone please give me some advice, or help on this right here. I'm dying to have this phone.

Thanks in advance
Wise

Just got e-mail from Motorola

Motorola just sent out e-mail to me saying you can now buy the phone through Radio Shack (Well no Shiat!) and they talk about registering for the 710 headset offer. Just thought I'd throw that out.....

instant rebate when bought online

i was on that link to vzwshop.com and filled out the application just to see what happens....buying the phone online they give you the rebate instantly instead of having to tear up your box and wait 6 weeks for it. its much smarter to order it online and wait 2 days to get it.

Verizon has done it again!

👿 😈 👿
From the time I received my 2000 era Audiovox I have never been fully happy with the service which I recieve from VZW. I always wanted that new Nokia or the New Samsung that VZW never had. Now, after 2 years of anger with my Kyocera 2235 I have the option for a new phone. The best Verizon phone I hoped. I saw the ad for the first to register I saw the amazing design and all of the bells and whistles. I became so eager I joined this site just to stay informed. Fast Forward TO KNOW.
VZW has done it again! Left a normal customer like me to have to get so angered about an offer that doesnt really exsist. They might not live to hear the end of this. I can't ever get a straight answer from them. They can go and F@*K th...

Should I return my Radio Shack phone

Now that the phone is coming out should i return my radio shack phone to save the trouble of "flashing" it? Has anybody returned their phones at radio shack? Do they make a big stink about it?

What type of problems will be taken care of after the v710 is fixed for the 8/11 release? Any big ones that people have been whining about on here?

First Real Bug/Defect - Bluetooth

Boooo Hooooo....

Phone doesn't work with the Motorla Bluetooth adaptor... Per Motorola, that is OK... It will be fixed one day and they will continue to Advertise and sell the adaptor...

"Dear Michael
,
Thank you for contacting Motorola e-mail support one more time.

Regarding your concern, we deeply apologize for the inconveniences caused. The BlueTooth adaptor and Mobile Phone Tools are actively advertised as a way to sync the V710 with the computer on the Motorola website, because they will"... one day... " be compatible. The fact that they do not work with the V710 at this time has been identified, and you will be able to go to Verizon and get a software upgrade within the next 60 days. Motorola does not consider this as false ...

V710 Reg question

I registered at 1:30pm Central time. I put the HEX number instead of the DEC number. Will that be a problem? Should I re-register? Was I late registering? Is ESN the same as HEX number? Thanks in advance for your reply.

wine with cheese, anyone?

🙄

Could you be more cry babyish? Stop the bellyacking....fair contest.

All it said was - first 710 to buy and register. Period. Radioshack is the same as buying it from a Verizon Store...NO DIFFERENCE...just you decided to wait (for whatever reason).

Suck it up and face it...you lost.

(It's only a measley hundred bucks anyway)

Would you buy a Honda only from a Honda dealer, or would you get one from a mixed car lot if you could get it now???????
