This info is thanks to GTAWYDRVR b/c he explained this to me the other night and it worked. This is for ringtones only. Transferring MP3s otherwise, I can't help you. I now have a couple of ringtones that I made myself. I hope I get this right:

basically, you use the "ringtone ripper" program to convert an mp3 or CD song into a 20 second ringtone. You then convert the file from MP3 to MIDI. Attach it in an email to your phone [email protected]. You'll receive the message, and scroll down to the midi file you sent yourself. It will ask you if you want to play it and store it. Once stored, you can then save apply it as a ringtone.

Hope this helped....

I think you need the verizon picture messaging service. This wasnt working for me at first, so i called verizon and they said try again in a half hour and then it worked. And... www.ringtoneripper.com

you do not have to convert the files, simply rename change the file type from .mp3 to .mid
and it will work just fine. No real conversion necessary.

When you are naming the file after you chose what segment of the song you want, just put .mid after the file name. You can check to see if this worked by right clicking on the file and looking at the properties. If it worked it should say MIDI sequence as the type of file.

After you get the mp3 tone, open it in windows media player (its easiest) and go file>save as

Then where it says song.mp3, delete the mp3 and type in mid

Then just send it to [email protected]

Hope I helped

Simply right click on the file you want to send to your phone, goto rename, then rename the file by putting songname.mid. then e-mail to your phone. It's that simple. No need to open up another program, just adds more confusion to the process.

I keep getting the messages which is costing me a small fortune, but it just gives me the web address for VZWPix.com and tells me to go get it. It won't send the attachment to the phone. Converted the ring and changed the mp3 to mid
