Ok so much like all of you I have been waiting a long time for this phone to come out. I have been a VZW member for two years now. I had my own phone plan for one year and then decided to join the family plan with the rest of my family. With the release of the new phone, I went to the store to claim my $100 towards a new phone. In the store they informed me that even though I was a memember for two years, technically I was not entitled to a new phone because 1) my plan was not more than $35 a month 2) When I switched to the family plan, my 2 year time period restarted

I have tried talking to the customer service people on the phone but they have no clue as to what is going on. Please let me know what I can do in order to get this p...

I am in kinda the same boat - Verizon convinced me to sogn up for the family share plan saying it would "save me money". That it did - but they failed to mention that in doing so I gave up my New Every Two on my second phone. I only found this out when I called to upgrade both phones. I think there has to be something I can do to get the second phone less than retail... Any ideas anyone???

Even with the family plan, you are still eligible for the upgrade price on the second line, aren't you, just not the NE2.

When I tried out the LG 7000, that is what I did. I received the upgrade promotion price on my second line. When I returned the phone to try the v710, I canceled the new contract s...

1st thing - Wait until the phone is actually released and then talk with a Customer Service person or go into a store. NOTHING can be accomplished with them until they have a phone to sell you.

Customer Loyalty is always good for at least a $50 credit: you may be able to get more, but WAIT for the actual release so they have a tangible product to sell you.

I say this as a very long-time VZW customer [1993 w/ the predecessor to AirTouch].....

Thats what I was planning on doing. I think going into the store and talking to someone face to face is going to work a lot better than talking on the phone. And I don't even care about the $100 for a new phone I just want to pay the price that a new customer would get, not the full upgrade price.
