Motorola V710

Has anyone purchased this product that is big in the UK? THe Parrot ck3100 or the ck3000 is a bluetooth handsfree kit that integrates with your vehicles stereo sytem. The ck3100 has a display for caller id and phonebook. It seems awesome but I wanted to know if anyone has this or heard of it's quality. The v710 is not on it's list of capatable phones but the v600 is and I am sure because the v710 is not considered released yet so they can not add to the list.

Very nice looking unit on ebay but I don't know if anyone sells them as a dealer and does installs. The business model looks like you buy it and go to in independent auto sound place and have them run the wires and install. I would prefer one place to do the whole installed sale. Any happy users?

I'm thinking about getting the v710 this week sometime but after reading your post I'm not sure now. Everyone I've talked to in my area loves it and never has any promblems with it. I'm on us cellular though. My other option is the lg vx-6100. What do you think of that phone? What is the latest software on these phones and have they been updated lately so some of the bugs are out of them? Any help would be great because I'm really confused which phone to get. Thanks!

When i plug in my phone in to charge it changes styles, and also turns on the speakerphone, however, the speakerphone doesn't work... this is pretty messed up, anyone have this problem?

I purchased the v710 about two weeks after it came out and did three replacements. A new receipt was given for each replacement all dated before the lawsuit cut-off date.
The current receipt says $419. I guess that was the buy outright price.
I think I paid in $320 or more. I then got a "new in two" discount.

At night when I am going to go to bed and charge my phone, it sometimes takes forever to actually start charging. When i plug it in, it wont say anything or sometimes it will say Unable to Charge. Oh and the really annoying part is when you plug the charger in and the phone will say unable to charge but will go to charging right away but in reality is NOT CHARGING AT ALL. that really pisses me off. Is this just my phone?? Is it because of the manul flash i did months ago? I am thinkin about flashing it back to the verizon firmware and just returning the phone and getting a new one for manufacturer's problems. Its been only 1 year though and i have 2 year contract. I hope i woudl be able to do it. ANd its not just cause of this charging probl...

Has anybody tried to use the larger e815 battery on the v710. I noticed that the standard battery on the e815 was larger than the v710 standard battery. I was thinking that this might work without having to replace the battery door thus giving the phone extended battery time without making it thicker.

I find this usually happens when I have the phone on "vibrate only"
The problem will start when I go to make a call. I hold the phone to my ear and don't hear any ringing. Then I look and the screen says it's "connected" - but there is nothing coming from the ear piece speaker. I've tested it during this state by calling my home phone and leaving a message (I can't hear anything - so I don't know when my answering machine is picking up - but I just let the phone stay "connected" for a few minutes and made some noise. Sure enough - when I got home there was a message on my home answering machine. It appears as if the microphone is working, the phone is connected, but the ear piece speaker is temporarily dead. Moto V 710 voice dialing is deceptive!

I was VERY interested in that Moto V 710 because it has all the features I want PLUS a bigger display. However, I took the time to download the User Manual and found that Voice Dialing for this cell phone means "Saying the digits into the phone" NOT "Saying the person's name."

How does this make it any easier on me? I would have to either know the phone # by heart, or I would have to search for it in the V710, and that takes time, and more so in a poorly lit room. How is saying "384-6621" easier than saying, "Gladys"?

I am now using a Moto V 60i, much less technologically advanced, and I am able to do Voice Dialing by saying the person's name.

insurance co. sent me a new v710 any thoughts on what this phone is worth? I replace it with the e815 so now we have an extra 710

When I put an event in the calender and have a reminder set for it and my PHONE IS ON VIBRATE, sometimes it lets me know and works fine and other times it doesn't. I have no idea why this is. when it doesn't work right, sometimes it shows up on the screen but doesn't vibrate and other times it doesn't show up at all. I am on my second phone with this and the same thing happens with my friend who has a v710 too.

anyone heard of this? help thx

Does anyone have a solution for playing mp3's off of the transflash memory card. I can transfer a few mp3's to the phone and they play fine, but it wont work off the transflash card. After converting the mp3 from 128K to 32K it plays fine from the transflash the audio quality is really bad.

how many mp3s can the new 1gb mini sd card hold about and is it compatable with the v710 because my freind has one in his e815.

I once saw a post in this forum that contained a link to a website that you could upload your mp3 to, and it would conver it to a ringtone AND send it to your phone...all for free. I can't seem to find the website or the post. Does anyone know which site I'm talking about? Could you please post it?

My boyfriend's dog just left nice chew marks on my phone, and it's only a month or so old. Does anyone know if I can get a replacement faceplate without having my warrenty voided, and the same silver.

So, I ordered the E815 from verizon through a site for discounts, and after a bunch of headaches (and about 3-4 weeks of time) that i prefer not to discuss here, they mistakenly sent me the V710 (which they had listed at the same price).
I spoke with a rep over the phone today and he said that i can send it back and re-order the e815 (which would probably take another 2 weeks) or keep the v710, which he reccomends i not use if i plan on returning it.
So i might just keep the V710 to avoid more of a hassle and headache, but first i have some questions:
1.I heard the V710 only allows you to play MP3's one at a time, is this true??
2.I also heard that Verizon has updated the firmware to allow more Bluetooth functionality, is this true??
