Had to start a new thread about MPx220 Cases

I ordered a case from the factorydirectcellular.com website. However, I did not order the one that Cingular offers (looked kind of thin and cheaply made).

I ordered a Cyber Sport brand case (a little more expensive, but likely worth the $).

For anyone that wanted a Body Glove case, this cyber sport looks much like the body glove brand.

Bro, I bought a Body Glove case from Best Buy for 19.99. It was a bit snug at first but now it is losening up. I am going to check out your website to see if I like their case. If so, I may take mine back to Best Buy. Also, I agree that the one that Cingular offers does look cheap.. 😎

Cool 😎

Let me know what you think; I would like to see a pic of the body glove case; is it on their website? The Cyber Sport looks really nice 😁

I am not sure when BB got the body glove for small cell phones but they do have them here in the Detroit Area. I got mine on 12/28/04. 😁

Is it specifically made for the MPx220, or just a small case that will supposedly fit a range of Motorola flip phone models?

it sounds like a universal case for small phones. I am waiting for Body Gloves mpx dedicated case.

If you can find a Krussell mulitadapt case, it's the best. They made it for the MPX 200. I haven't been able to find one for my MPX 220. I'm using a universal holster. I'm afraid of this phone getting scratched. I like a case to cover the phone and not to have to remove my phone from the case each time I use it. That's just my personal pet peeve.

Well, it is what you said!! It is a "universal case" for Moto phones. Still, it is working well with my phone. I don't have problems with it accidentally pushing the side key buttons. Also, it does look good on the phone. 😁

I have one as well. and I do agree that the phone is nice looking. but if i were wo drop it while using it, i would rather it have a form fitting case. but for now, the universal is great.

Hey let me ask you a quick question. Did you get the body glove size small or medium? I got the one for the small Motos.

i got the medium so that the phone fits completely inside the case. no chance of it slipping out

Hmmmm, I may go back and get the medium. To be honest with you, the small works well. The phone is very snug so I don't worry about it falling out. Still, I may have better access to my phone when someone is calling if I used a medium. Because the small is so snug, It takes a little effort to pull out and answer the call. Meaning that sometimes, while trying to get the phone out, I may miss a call.

be careful that you dont get one that is too tight. the battery door on the phone is plastic and the little teeth on it break off VERY easily. I had to take mine back for another one after two of the 8 teeth broke off.

Wow, bro, thanks for the info. I don't need the extra drama of the battery door breaking. I am going to do a BB search and find a store that sells the medium. Good looking out!!! 🙂

ok bro. I think the tighter the case, the more stress is put on the battery cover...that is what i meant. you want it tight but not too tight.
good luck.

I went to factorydirectcellular.com and checked out your case. I think that it looks pretty cool. The only slight problem that I have is that almost totally covers the phone. The MPX is such a good looking phone. It would truly be a shame to cover is up. Go to bodyglove.com and check out their cell phone covers. You are going to have to look under "other products" to get to the cell covers. 😛

I know, the case does cover up most of the phone, but that really is the only way to protect it.

I went onto a link of bodyglove.com (gowithit.com/products/phone.html) and they were some TIGHT looking cases, but of the Ion, Scuba, and Fusion models, none of them listed the MPx220 as an available case??

Are you sure the case you bought or were thinking of getting from BB not for some other similar model? If so, then there won't be appropriate openings to allow the phone to be fully functional w/case on.

i had a body glove V600 case that I used a hole punch on. it fits great and has holes in all the right places. i use it occasionally as well as the universal.

To be honest with you, the body glove case that I have is "universal." Meaning that I can't fully functionally use the phone when it is in the case. The camera and flash are covered. I guess that when buying the case, you have to decided on what you, as an individual, want from the case. For me, I want a stylish (not gaudy), visually (phone)reveiling, small, protective and non-bulky case. Some cases are so huge that they bulge from under your clothing. Because this case is somewhat flush, it does not cause a bluge. So for me, at this time, it work fine. Still, I totally understand your point. 😎
