Motorola MPx220

I've set up outlook on my phone through my peoplepc account, but when I e-mailed them, they never showed up (I figured I could e-mail them to myself then open the attachment and print).

Is there a way to hook up my USB port to my pc and print my pics from my photo album?

Why isn't the e-mail working?

This phone is so cool, but very confusing because I'm not familiar w/how to utilize its functions; the manual is of no help!!!!

Does anybodu know what that is?

Best Buy® has this phone (in my area) for $199 through 01.08.05 with a $50 gift card, but ONLY with NEW activation. Why!?! It is a $35 difference (activation fee). Why not up the price $35 and try to push the poor phone out to consumers that are willing to take a chance with it? When the lil' nerd told me it had to be a new activation as opposed to a contract renewal, I just shook my head and walked away. Of course, I know it is not the nerd's fault.

Does anybody know how to change settings in ActiveSync so when I sinc with outlook, numbers from outlook go to my fine not the numbers from phone go to outlook. How can I change that?

This is beginning to piss me off; Cingular demonstrated a phone for me yesterday that asked for an unlock code; the rep said that these phones are locked to Cingular; he said BB versions come unlocked. Today I had a BB guy power-up a phone and it did not ask for an unlock code. Why the difference?

I contacted GetConnected.com ($179 after mail-in, tax-free for me, with 1yr contract--as opposed to BB 2yr mandatory), the BB online store affiliate, and asked if there versions were unlocked; the rep said they were indeed LOCKED. So if you buy it in the BB brick&mortar store you get unlocked, but go online and click through their site to purchase the same phone and it is LOCKED!?!?

After a little bit of sleuthing, I figured out how to get all the MP3 Ringtones on Cingular's site for free. And they have a pretty large selection.

First, go to http://www-xl.cingularextras.com/fuel/enduser /portal/endUserHTMLDir?c1=1&dc=19 and search through the ringtones until you find one that you want.

Then, click on the little audio button to preview the ringtone. A window should pop up with the audio preview. Right click on the background of this page and click view source.

Look for the tag: param Name = "fileName" VALUE = "...". the ... is what you want to copy. Example: http://www-xl.cingularextras.com/fuel/enduser /portal/EUAppConDisplayServlet/applicationID= 1188/downloadableVersionID=1/usageType=PREVIE W/contentSequence=1/...

My new phone does not have any advanced phone settings on it so back to BB I go. Specifically, I want to deactivate the Flip Answer feature as described on page 14 and 64 of the users guide. When I go to start>settings>more>more>phone settings, nothing is there. My .342 had some functions there. Everyone better check out their 1.30 phones!

QUESTION: How do you set the ronger to vibrate and ring at the same time?

First of all, I'm a new to this site, but I have to say this is website is the best!!

1) I just ordered my MPx220 on Dec 15, from the Cingular Business Dept. I should receive it in a couple more days. QUESTION: What are my chances of receiving version 1.30.0.0 or higher??

2) UPS will deliver my phone, but there is little to no chance I can sit at home all day waiting for the phone to be delivered. I was going to sign the permission slip to leave on my back porch. QUESTION: If the outside temp is in the 30's, will this cause any damage to the LCD display for the phone to sit out for 4-5 hours?

I've been searching all night through the forums and I believe this has never been asked yet. If it has, I do apologize but I'd like some assistance for anyone that can offer it.

I love this phone so much now that the new firmware has been done (1.30) I bought the phone at BB the night it came out.. terrible.. took it back the next morning.. Tried again on the new version and I love it!

My main question so far is How in the world! can you turn that stupid shutter tone off?? Some people at Cingular opened a used one that someone had returned and the shutter tone was off already on it, but they weren't sure how it was done cause they had just got it in and weren't too familiar with it.

Can anyone PLEASE answer this question?

I know it doesn't come on the device; but is there a way to add this feature or even use it? I'm interested in know because it's my main IM software.. 😎

I know this is probably one of the easiest tasks to perform w/this phone, but I am new to having a phone with this capability.

I went online with this phone (media net), and looked through different tones to download from the cingular website. Everytime I would select and state to purchase that tone, it would take me to a page that stated (I think) error 403--file not found.

What am I doing wrong?

whats the deal with the companies criplling the html broswers. they did it on blackberries and now with the mpx220. im not gonna pay 39.99 a month to browse wap sites 😈

Anyone know if I sign up for Att/Cingular service and sign a contract. How many days do I have before I can cancel without getting charged with the early cancellation fee? I know Tmobile is 14 days

I sent my orange dot MPx220 into Motorola's service center last week and just got it back 6 business days later with the 1.3 flash. So far so good.. The earpiece sounds pretty good so far. Haven't tried to used the camera with the bluetooth on yet.

Only problem I'm having is tech support. Its an unlocked Cingular phone that i'm using with an AT&T Wireless SIM card. I called ATTWS tech support to get the mMode and MMS settings and the guy heard of mMode and MMS, but didn't really know what it was. I tried a second person - same thing. Then finally they said they would transfer me to an ATTWS customer support rep. I asked them who they were, they said they were Siebel Support Reps and that they initially answer the calls now. What the hell...

I am trying to let it charge and not play with it, but I absolutely had to find out what version it was (black dot on the box).

The ringer volume sounds more impressive w/outdoor settings. My problem is that my previous phone is the Motorola V60-color. The one positive that little tiny phone has is a HUGE ring tone. I wish this 220 also had a "standard" ring to it, because there seems to be more umph to a ring tone like that.

I will have to play with it some more after it is activated. Still would like to know where that one guy who posted on here acquired a 1.70 version, or possibly he looked at the wrong numbers?

the max i got it to record is 15 sec is there way to change that. or if you use mini sd you can record more then 15 sec...

I have the latest version of MPT and I cannot get it to recognize my new MPX 220 to download ringtones and Photos. Has anyone else been successful at this and if so, HOW?
