Playlists for mp3s?
Looks like standard playlists don't work. Anyone else feel that the mp3 player isn't very flexible in playing songs in the order you want them to play in?
This is ROM 342, not sure if that matters.

standard ringtone plays before custom
When callers with custom ringtones call, I frequently hear a few seconds of my default ringtone before it switches over to the custom one.
Is there a setting I have wrong or is the system just slow to link the correct tone to the caller ID. The correct picture ID comes up immediately.
thanks

They got a new shipment of phones in and wanted to know if I wanted to do an exchange. I wonder if it s/w version 1.30 or higher? I am pretty happy with my phone now and may not take them up on it.

Difference between .342 and 1.3 versions
Just bought MPx220 and it has version .342. Most of the features work fine, the volume on earpiece and speakerphone is good. The only issue is the the camera image quality.
I'm wondering if there is any benefit to upgrading to a 1.3 firmware version phone.
Anybody know what the difference is between .342 and 1.3?
Thanks.

T-Mobile MPX200 Users?
I will be getting this phone in the mail in a couple of days and I already know how to configure this phone for MMS, WAP, and Internet. For those of you that use this phone w/ Tmobile service, what other changes or settings have you changed for it to work for you. The phone that I am getting is the ATT version..
Thanks and Happy New Year to all

Hi all. Need a bit of help again. I want to be able to sync my Outlook calendar from outside my office but cant figure out if this is possible. I don't have a MS Exchange server so does this mean I cant do it or is there some way to change my individual computer into a sort of mini-server to give my phone syncing access to is when I am on the road?
Thanks again.

Voicemail and Password
Cingular keeps asking me to input my password every time I check my voice mail...is that normal? I just switched from Sprint and they had an option to avoid entering in the VM password everytime I checked from my cell phone. Is this an option I cant figure out how to fix, or is this somehting I will have to live with?

A few simple questions....
I know this phone is meant to replace a digital video camera or an mp3 player, but I have to ask anyways....
I dont own an mp3 player or digital camera.
What can I expect from the audio in video clips?? How does the video capture look? Does it look like a low quality webcam?
Lastly, is there a way to connect the phone to another device to play mp3's? For instance, can I connect the phone to my car or home stereo to while playing mp3s off the miniSD?
Thanks in advance.

The company I work for uses Nortel Networks to achieve a secure link for downloading email when I am traveling. Does anyone know if Nortel has this available for Mobile devices?

ATT ROM Version .343...
I tried to pick up this phone from one of the stores and I couldn't because they only had the Cingular versions of it. I have to keep the ATT version because I can't make any changes to our company plan, etc....
I ended up getting one from the ATT Nat Bus phone line. Bought it on Monday, showed up on Tuesday (great!).
Checked the ROM version and it is .343. I haven't had the phone long enough to notice any problems but should I be trying to get an upgraded version? Do they have the upgraded version for ATT? How do I go about doing it?
I read the threads posted below and I didn't couldn't find any info for ATT specific. I was told the sim cards are diferent and that they are going to phase out the ATT stuff.
Any info would b...

customize ringtone on mini SD card
I tried to customize ringtones on sd card for different contact, but it always showed " not working properly". However those ringtones are working fine for the incall. Is there anything I forgot to set up. I tried mp3, wav and wma format but this phone just can't read any rintones on sd card. thanks for the help.
#1 key does not bring up voice mail
As of the last two days, when I press and hold down the #1 key on my numberic keypad, it no longer invokes voice mail. Instead, it just shows a large "1" in the dialing edit box, as if I am dialing a new phone number (long distance, perhaps).
Does anyone know how to make sense of this? I mean, sometimes I WILL want to dial long distance, and sometimes I will want to invoke my voice mail. How is this supposed to work, and how do I control its settings?

CID Contact Processing
😳 Has anyone noticed that when there are multiple contacts with the same number (like work number) there is a problem with attached photos and call history logging. I believe when a CID is detected, contacts are searched by first name and the first found is displayed along with an attached photo. At the same time the call history saves the contact searched by last name.
This is confusing if you have multiple contacts with the same number. this search should also use the default setting which would provide more selectivity. Also photos should be attached to contact & phone number
Does the mpx220 have a built in GPS???
To use a mapping software, like MS Streets 2005 or Mapolia or CoPilot Live, do we need to buy a Bluetooth GPS receiver or does the mpx220 have a built-in GPS?
