LG VX-8000

has anyone heard when the firmware update will come out ti fix the mp3 player problem. Any info will help

I have only 11 midi song on my vx 8000 I tryed to email me another song but it says my memory is full. is my memory damaged or what . because i thought the phone has lots of memory capacity. some one please help.

The 890 is awesome !

The Audiovox 8940 is a disaster. The first thing you must look at in a phone is simply the Voice Quality. The D/A convertors in the Audiovox which are the little devices that convert your voice to digital and back are horrible. The voice quality on the 8940 is almost unusable. People who are used to having low quality conversation might be okay with it but if you have owned a samsung you know what good voice quality is.
Also the 8940 speakerphone is horribly lo...

For some reason I can only get 1 Mp3 on my phone , I repeat the steps and then I still only have the same song I had on there before 👿

I GOT AN LG VX 8000 AND ALSO HAVE A VERIZON DATA CABLE. IS THEIR ANY WAY THAT I CAN TAKE RINGERS AND MP3S OFF MY COMPUTER AND LOAD THEM TO MY PHONE. Can anyone provide guidance or a FAQ pointer to how can I download my photos using the data cable?

If you take a lot of photos with the phone, using PIX messaging one picture at a time, even if you were willing to pay the fees, is a huge pain in the rear. Thanks.

I've had my Audiovox CDM-9900 for 5 months now. My last 3 phones have been the Toshiba made Audiovox's and I've loved each one progressively more.

Before buying the 9900 I had heard about the LG 8000 coming down the pipeline and that it was gonna be an awesome phone.

I'm wondering if the phone is THAT much better than the Audiovox. Almost everyone I know loves the Audiovox.

Primarily is the 1xEV-DO technology on the LG that much faster than the 1xRTT on the Audiovox. The only thing is that on my Audiovox, the internet downloading is tediously slow. Is the LG that much better?

Also, how much louder is the speakerphone on the LG compared to the Audiovox?

Any other things that one might consider drastically superior on the LG 8...

Hello, Is anyone with the 8000 dropping any calls? I am dropping at least 2 a day. That doesn't seem normal.

Is there a way to have the external light flash when you have a voice message? That way if you left it on a table and walked by you could see you missed a call.

I followed the steps one posted in this forum on how to get tunes, videos, and pics into the phone. Works great and now im happy being able to use the mp3 player. Great phone!! Anyway I am having problems loading pics into the phone. I backed up and deleted /dload/image.dat Then I placed the image file (apparently it supports BMP, WBMP, PNG, WPNG, JPEG, GIF formats) into /dload/img/ . After the phone reset, the image file is in the phone but it has an error, a yellow triangle instead of the photo. The file is jpg/jpeg format. Anyone know what the problem is? I used photoshop cs to resize my photos I took with my 5mp camera. I think the problem is that when I am resizing the image to 176x220, I chose to "progressive" under the format optio...

Live on Long Island. Bought my plastic holster at the Verizon Store on Northern Blvd in Massapequa. Have to say though.....not impressed by the holster....seems rather cheaply made.....hard to remove phone and when you do your're touching all the side buttons.

The leather you can at least you can unclip from your catch on your belt. With the plastic you can't.

Thought the plastic would be leaner to wear and it is to a certain extent but not as much as i thought it would.

Think the leather looks nicer...cost was $17.00 was worth a try...went back to leather until someone comes out with a better plastic holster

i know that this question probably has been addressed many times, but how do i make sounds into tunes. otherwise, how do i make anything play from the outside of the phone and pressing the play button. i have send midi and mp3 selections that are under 30 seconds to my phone (yournumber@vzwpix) but every time it says that the receipt failed...also, what is push notification and how does it work.

I am sure this has been asked, but how do you answer a call with the phone closed?

I was wondering if .GIF picture files are accessible through this phone, I want an animated gif as my wallpaper using the data cable.

I get my $100 credit for a new phone on the 28th, and had a few question.

I have been looking at the LG VX7000 for a long time and just recently saw that they came out with the 8000. What are the differences between the phones and which one would you choose? I haven't had a chance to look at the 8000 in person and mess around with it yet at the Verizon store. Is the menu set up the same and if not, is it easy to get from one feature to another as well as finding the features? Also, what exactly is Bluetooth technology and is it worth trading in either of these phones for one that has it?

Does anyone know what Push Notification is? More specifically does anyone know how to use Push Notification or what its for?

When I type my screen name in and then it prompts me to enter my password, which I then do. I check the "save" box. What is this saving? I have to re-type my passwrd in each time. Is there a way to avoid having to type in my passwprd everytime I sign in?
