when i send pics via email from my phone they get sent as attachments that have to be downloaded. is there a way to send pics within the email. my other carrier dosnt sent pics as attachments and all you do is open the email and the pic is there. thanks

I was looking at the Verizon site and they now have the 8k back on the site. I wonder why they brought it back.

I need help. My battery barely lasts 10 hours. And when i charge it from fully discharged it only takes about 30 minutes to fully charge. And it is supposed to have 128 MB of memory. but mine only says i have 55.04 MB. And on the verizon demo on the website it shows on the outside screen where you can access the main menu, messages and contacts. But on mine the outside screen can not do that. If anyone can help me i will greatly appreciate it.

I got the mp3s to play fine but everytime i hook up the headphones n try to listen to them, it plays out of the speakers. Does anyone know how i can fix this or does this happen all the time?

Can someone tell me how to decrease the brighness of the main and front screen. It seems you can only go full blast or shut it off and not be able to read it in daylight

I just got this phone about a week ago. The first time, I completely discharged the battery and did a full charge on it. The phone lasted about 20 hours with ~35 mins of talk time and maybe took a couple pictures. I charged it again the next day and the phone died after about a day of idle. I was able to get the battery switched, and this time I didn't discharge the batttery before doing a full charge and now it lasts maybe 30 hours on a full charge with about 30 mins of talk time. Is this normal? Do I need to charge the battery a few times before it can last longer?

my vx8000 is doing this thing where, when i turn it on, all i get is a white screen on both internal and external screens. i've turned it off, then turned it back on and i've tried taking out the battery while it's on and then putting it back in but that hasn't worked either.

so i'm wondering if there's a button or something that i can press that will manually reset it. is there anything i can do?

I just received my data cable (the one that is listed for the vx7000, vx8000) and downloaded Bitpim. I do not have the driver for the cable however and thus Bitpim does not recognize my phone as being connected.

WHERE DO I GO TO DOWNLOAD THE DRIVER FOR THE DATA CABLE?

I've been reading the posts about ringtones and know of yet another way to get ringers. Basically you find a sound clip on the internet, many sites give you samples of music that is on a CD before you buy. Walmart.com is good because the clips are already 30 seconds. right click on the file and change the file extension to .midi and save it to your computer. then just send an email with the file attached to [email protected] just like a regular pix msg. open it up when it gets to your phone and just go to options/save sound. It saves it directly to your ringers folder, and they sound great. it does use a pix msg though, so there is a small charge.

I've had this phone for a few days and noticed that the earpiece sound quality is somewhat tinny and distorted at all volume levels except the lowest level. I had VZ tech support look at it. They said that it was normal and that they all sound this way. I noticed my wife's VX6100 sounds a lot better. I still have 12 days left on my 15 days so, before I take the phone back I wanted to find out if this is normal for the VX8000. Anyone else have this problem? How does your earpiece sound compared to other phones?

i've heard it can be done but no tech stores (best buy, circuit city, compusa) have the cable. even the verizon stores don't have them. can it be done? and what data cable do you use? (cable model number, where to get it, etc. would be appreciated). thanks. 🙂
