LG VX-8000

How do you get MP3's on to your phone? DO you have to buy the usb cable for it? Or do you download them wirelessly?

is there a way to send mp3s to ur phone without buyin a data cable??? if there is how do u do it???

I currently have a Samsung A670 and am going to buy a VX8000. If I understand things correctly, I just need to take the VX8000 to a VZW store and have my number put on it instead of the A670?

Is it that simple? And also, after the change, I would like to sell the A670. When I sell it, there will not be any connection to "me" and my number on the A670?

Sorry if these questions are dumb but I am a noobe and cannot get "straight" amswers from my VZW store

Does anyone know if you can record your own ringtones on the LG VX 8000, or any other phone.

1. it reads my phone, then another time it doesnt, why?

Yesterday, I talked to vzw c.s. and they told me that they are send out data cables and a cd to everyond that has the vx8000 so they can update their phone. He didn't know what the update will fix, but said that it will be sent out in the next month. If anyone bought a data cable for their vx8000, return it because your getting one for free!

My Fiancee and I both have VX8000 and have been having a problem receiving videos. Sometimes it goes through sometimes it does not. It sends ok but then says unable to receive on the other handset once it downloads it. Anyone else having this problem?? Verizon says it is not the phone...could they be doing some sort of work on the network in our area? Binghamton, NY?

Also, a friend of ours has a new 6100 and has been only able to receive pictures part of the time. Says can not receive and can not authenticate network.

Has anyone used the snapmedia from futuredial on this phone?

I have had my 8000 for about 3 months now and it is starting to shut off at random. Its really weird and quite frankly pretty annoying. I am planning on going to VZN to get it checked out, but I thought i would see if anyone in here knew of any possible solutions to this problem. Thanks for your help.

I will have it on or about May 31st (Tuesday). Verizon Wireless is sending me a new one as my current one is doing the random power down thing. When I get the new one, I will sell it. where do u go to get te secret menu??????

Can the USB cable be used to off-load the photo's taken with the camera? or is the only way to get the photo's out of the camera is to email them through Verizon?

Does the V710 let you put the photo's on the memory stick and get them out that way?

I just upgraded from my 4400 to this phone. I was using Soda Pop Mail on the 4400 to access my email. The people that make Soda Pop Mail have a program called Email Executive that is supposed to be available for the 8000. But I cannot find any way to download it on Get It Now. If I click on "Get EMail", it takes me directly to the Mobile Web pages. I emailed technical support and they said they looked into it and have determined that Email Executive is not available at this time. I am suspicious, though. I think Mobil Web is interfering with part of the Get It Now menu.

Are any of you using Email Executive with the VX8000?

Can someone without the Mobile Web option on your phone check and see if you can find this application on...

ok so, I got sw version 5 on my phone. No different except....microphone

when recording ringtones, it seems to have some wierd autovolue setting on. if the thing your recording gets louder, it turns down the volume. If it gets softer, it goes up. The problem with this is that your ringtones do not get loud enough, even on the highest setting. I had someone send me a ringtone that I had sent them before i got v5 (when i was on v4) and it was just as quiet. It seems so strange...the only loud ringtones are the factory ones..

anyone have a fix or similar problems with v5 of the software? It didn't seem to fix anything else....

If anyone knows where to download QPST from the internet please let me know. I keep searching and coming up with bogus ****. All I can find is bitpim. I want to download full MP3s on my 8000. Plz Help!

Hey all...any news on the shutoff bug on the vx8000? will the next update definitely fix this or is there no fix? Anyone in the know have any knew info???
