Motorola RAZR V3

i bought MPT for my black razr and i have like 15 ringtones downloaded to my phone that i made off of songs but the quality of them isnt very good. the ringtones that i bought off of Cingular's website sound crystal clear. but the ones i made have a fuzzyness in the background that makes them not sound as good. i used the encoder and audacity, but is there anyway to have created ringtones sound just as good as the ones you pay for....thanks
