This would be great, but the original poster is not looking for a way to connect with a PC. He has a mac.

Cingular has several levels of pricing, from $5 to $20 per month in my region.
To use the cell phone as a PC modem of sorts you do not need to subscribe to the unlimited data plan such as a business would do. This is also what I was under the impression of at first. What you need is the unlimited MediaNet plan (from Cingular) unless you just desire to give large amounts of money to corporations for no reason. $20.00 extra a month on top of your normal plan charges but cheap compared to always having access to the internet, well, almost always.
