does anyone know the actual date of the this phone going to be out? Anyone know anything about the V400P? The push to talk version of the v400! thanks!

I get conflicting reports. If you look on eBay, they say that the release date is Septemeber 7th if you type in the razr on the search bar and check the auctions.
I went ahead and called a wireless store that specializes in getting the more higher end phones in my neighborhood and they told me that it would be the middle of next month and that the ones selling on ebay right now are actually PROTOTYPES, meaning that the firmware may have bugs in it and that if something screwy goes on with your phone, then there is no warranty and you'll be screwed out of 700~800 dollars.
I just want this phone badly. I was ready to sell my soul for it..... hehehe, ok maybe not that bad. But bad enuff that I'd be kinda broke ass.

I read something the phone is going to be a world launch. So it's going to be a big thing when it comes out. The thing is.. i like the Nokia 6260 which has the push to talk and u can twist the flip phone but I like this phone since is quad band and IT IS SO THIN!!! I saw so many angle picturs of it. the phone is a little wide... but it's so COOL!!! Man I want this phone!!

This phone has absolutely everything I want in a phone. What I want to know if there is going to be any support as far peripheral keyboards and other items for it. Or will it be as hard to find support for as it has been for the Treo 600.

I see that some people on Ebay are now claiming Sept. 18th as the release date for this phone. Anyways, seems like it is coming soon and we will get to see whether the final production model will support voice dialing or not...

Price tag is $1,898.88. Too expensive for my blood, although I really wanted this phone pretty bad.
Guess I'll wait to see if any of the GSM carriers (T-mobile or AT&T) will offer it as part of their lineup (at a much lower price I hope).
If anyone knows of a cheaper price (other than from eBay), I'd appreciate it.

I stopped by the Cingular store on the way home tonite & spoke with two very nice, if somewhat less than informed salespeople.
They had both heard of the V551 & RAZR V3. They said they were hoping to get the V551 in stock next Friday, Sept. 17th and the RAZR V3 at the beginning of Oct.
The good news is that the release dates are probably not too far off if it has gotten that far down the chain of command that even the "less than knowledgeable" salespeople have heard of it...
Just calling it like I see it. đ

No, no pricing, but prolly expensive... Also, some people have expressed doubt about the launch date and the accuracy of the info given to me by the salespeople.
There is a lot of confusion about this phone, launch date, whether or not it has voice dialing (like some people on here have claimed), etc.
I guess we will see once it is finally launched...

I would guess somewhere between $300 and $400 with a 2 yr. contract with AT&T/Cingular. Just a guess though...

I have had one for about 3 weeks testing...They are selling right now in a few areas. The list price is between 299-400 depending on contract
