Motorola RAZR V3

I think "mobilephonejunkie8" and "Kega" would make a wonderful couple. 'Lerner' could be the flower child (plastic flowers) and a whole host of other forum whiners could attend the ceremony (if it was free). The lovely couple could sit in their new love nest and debate the cost/benefit ratio of round toothpicks over the regular (cheaper) square toothpicks. GET OVER THE PRICE OF THE STUPID PHONE! EVERYONE on this forum knows your position, and NOTHING you do will change the price or unlock the *#@ phone. Doesn't seem to be any phone out there suits your needs and your budget. Any bugs in the software so far?

Can anyone tell me how this phone can be unlocked? Under what circumstances will Cingular unlock the V3 for its customers?

Does anyone know how to change the ringer while a Jabra bluetooth headset is connected? No matter what I have as my ringer for the calls, the phone will make that annoying beeping instead of the regular ring tone...

Also, is there a way to hear that ringtone in my bluetooth headset? All I hear is that beeping notification, no ringtone...

Any help would be appreciated!

I mean, this phone in my hot little hand MUST be a figment of my imagination, right? All the "experts" here have told you the phone can't be sold until Monday. So, the phone that I bought at my local Cingular store on Wednesday clearly isn't real. The super clear reception and speakerphone, the surprising little "features" they packed into this baby? All part of a dream of what I'm going to begin experienceing come "Day 1."

Also, it's a real shame I can't get insurance on this phone. The contract I have, countersigned by an authorized Cingular store manager that gives me insurance must be a psychedelic drug-induced vision. 😉

I have a situation in which I may have to stay with AT&T instead of switching to Cingular, however, I still want to purchase the RAZR V3 from someone.

Anyway, the phone is unlocked, but will all the features (MMS, Web, and Bluetooth) work on the AT&T Network?

😁 Well my phone is charging now, so I really haven't had a chance to make a call or play with the features, but I just wanted to say a couple of things about the design of the phone itself.

This thing is absolutely amazing. It's even smaller and slimmer than the pics made it seem. I feel like I'm holding a wafer or cracker or something. It is quitely possibly the coolest, sleekest (is that even a word?) piece of technology I've had.

Downsides? Does seem a little fragile, though I guess that's to be expected. Anyway, I know I'm raving about this thing and I haven't even had a chance to try out the features yet, but as far as the phone itself goes, I'm very happy with it and don't regret spending the money for a second. this phone is really not worth all that money. It did not impress me. I held a V551 and then a samsung e317 and I could not believe the price difference compared to the V3. This is an absolute ripoff in my mind. It is the most expensive phone cingular has ever offered with a 2 year plan, according to the rep. I went into the store after calling asking if they had one, thinking I'd love it and walk out with it. Turns out it's $500 for a slightly thinner phone with identical/fewer features than the v551. Eeeeeeek thank god I went and checked it out before buying the darn thing on-line.

It's on the FedEx truck for delivery, woohoo! I can't wait to play with this thing. I'm going to post my impressions of the phone when I get it. Hope everyone else does the same (in place of pointless whining, complaining, or bickering). For those getting the V3, enjoy! For those who don't want it, well . . . we don't actually care. I thought about getting the V710 until I found out that the camera was crap and the bluetooth was crippled. But did I go to the V710 forum and whine? Nope, not once. So seriously guys, enough with the "unlocked or locked", "this phone isn't worth it", or any other pointless questions/comments.

I just called cingular to have my questions answered, but I think the rep knew less than what I knew. In fact she was giving me the run around and just wanted to set me up with the phone and service.

Anyway, I asked about having the phone unlocked. She knows nothing about locked vs. unlocked phones so I asked her how much it would cost if I decided to travel to Europe tomorrow with my cingular phone and made a call back to the states. She said it would cost me nothing as long as I called Cingular ahead of time and they will set up the international plan on the phone for no roaming. Can anybody verify this or was the rep just eager to sell me an expensive phone and plan?

In programming my phone, I noticed the number 5 was slightly raised. I could not tell if this is intended, or if my number 5 is coming out. Anyone else notice this? Thanks

Just wondering what the Cingular V3 comes with? Is it the same as all the ones bought on the internet where you get the tin case, mpt, and all that? Or is it a stripped down box?

Anyone know if you can sync up contacts and calander from Outlook Via Bluetooth? If not how do you sync up with Outlook.

I'm assuming the wall charger, since Cingular lists the vehicle charger as one of the available accessories to buy.

I've been monitoring this website and posting area ever since I heard about the V3, and have been watinig patiently for the release. My thoughts: I ordered my v3 today from telesales and it was supposed to arrive Saturday or Monday at the latest. As of yet, NOT SHIPPING! Cingular won't admit that they aren't actually shipping the V3, but I suspect that although they have my $$$ I won't see the V3 until sometime next week. Oh well! Just thought the rest of you should know in case you were going to place an order. P.S. The FTC should know that Cingular is pulling a "bait and switch" and taking money for products they don't have or won't send. I'll end with this...why would a "new & better' company with approxiamtely 40 million consumers...

Hi, I am debating on whether or not to get the Moto V3 or the Moto V710. I really like the V3 but like the features of the V710 but with all the problems going on with Verizon and that phone who knows what is going to happen. I currently have ATT and have the V600 and I think its a piece of crap 👿 so..... any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Any word on other companies carrying the V3 other than cingular? I understand Verizon is out of the question, what about Sprint, T-mobile etc.?

I ordered my V3 from Cingular this morning, but the order hasn't shipped yet (as of 8:20 eastern). Has anyone else been able to confirm that theirs has shipped on the "order status" page? I paid $15 for the 1-2 day shipping, and I'm just wondering if it will ship out today/tomorrow or if they are waiting until Nov. 15th (Monday) to ship them?
