When Will Cingular® Have This Phone Again?
From the forums I've read and the Siemens & Cingular reps I've talked to, I wouldn't put my full faith in anything anyone's heard. There is a lot of speculation being passed off as fact.
Keep checking with as many Cingular stores directly that you can find. I read a post yesterday that someone finally found one in the 5th store he checked.
My personal speculation, based on my conversations and observations, is that Siemens or Cingular stopped the pipeline until the known issues are resolved. This would give them fewer customers calling with questions, and fewer units in use to update.
The issues are minor in the scheme of things, I am loving mine while waiting for it to be tweaked later.

I bought one on Jan 30 in a northern san antonio texas store. It was their last one. the rep told me... they didn't expect anymore until march... but that he though there were still a couple at some other san antonion store. I'm thrilled with this phone... though the uconnect in my Dodge won't dial it... I can still use the uconnect like a headset. I hope they get the full bluetooth software update working soon.

The Seimens SX66 will be reintroduced to the market mid year. There is a software upgrade to be performed on all units which is the reason for the delay. This is the information ive received from marketing. Hope this helps.

Just found out that a Cingular store in Orlando just got 5 in today, 1/26/05. They had been out of the phone since the beginning of Jan.
