I can finally stop holding my breath. I'm anxious to see which issues it resolves for us besides Bluetooth. It is a big file.

Is everyone happy with the bluetooth improvement since the software update? I am using the Siemens BT, but get ear ache since it goes in the canal.

I had the Motorola HS820, but returned it when I had the old BT stack (prior to upgrade). I am now looking at the HS850 as an option (sits on ear, not in it).

Does anyone have feedback on the HS850?

I use Cingular as my provider and have forgotten the e-mail setup for outgoing mail. I orignally got it from Cingular, but can't find the documentation. Setup with my ISP info doesn't work for outgoing mail.

Help is appreciated.

How can I get insurance for this phone? Cingular will not insure it.

Searched high and low for a case. The one that comes with the SX66 is garbage.

Go to www.pielframa.com and check out the cases for the SX66. Quality leather and all of the funcionality openings are there. Great website as well (bought a killer cigar case too).

I've been trying to figure out the benefit of Cingular Xpress mail. I am a consultant and don't work through an office network. It would seem that simply setting up my e-mail accounts in the PPC is the way to go unless I'm missing something.

MediaNet (Cingular) has an alert feature for e-mail which I still can't figure out. It seemed so much easier with AT&T's "mobile office" for setting up alerts, but had to transitiion when I went from SX56 to SX66.

There are no technical walk-throughs on the Cingular site, and customer service knows very little about the PPC.

Any guidance would be welcome.

1. I just got the phone on the 18 of JAN. any one know they told me that I have to get the 39.99 dadi plane for the wireless to work. but I only try to connect using the wifi so why do I have to get the 39.99 plane.
2. If I hav ethe wifi on why should I have to pay for the extra plane. If I connect non wifi it only going to be real short o n the web. I do evion text.
3. dos any one know how to unlock the phone yet. Im going over to erup soon and would like to use it over their.

Have been reading here how the SX66 Bluetooth will work with the Sony 300 Headset. It is clearer than the Motorola 820, but has the exact,same, problem with staying connected. Wait awhile, make a call, and the headset doesn't work. To make it work, click off the Bluetooth on the phone, click it back on, then the headset works again for a few calls in quick succession. A short time between calls and it's click off,click on, to get things to work.
I've now got $200. in headsets that essentialy don't work. They're like the cell phones themselves. If they worked like they're supposed to, great! They don't. Someday the technology will match the expectations.

I'm confused. Is the SX66 different from the MDA III which is different from PDA2k?? Which version name is the one w/ the camara? I've read that the SX66 doesn't come w/ a camara. Then I've read that the PDA2k does have a camara. The picture on this website shows a pda phone w/ a camara. So which one is it? 😕

Also, how much does it cost on average to unlock the PDA anyways?

Hey guys I`m a cingular rep. Just giving everyone a heads up. On feb. 11th our plans will be changing. Sadly for the worst. I urge u guys if u use gprs or plan on doing it upgrade ur package to the media works package for 19.99. This gives u unlimited use of our gprs network. The new package coming out soon for the same price only gives 8mb. Be sure to upgrade or tell the person that`s been holding back on getting it. In adition to limited internet text messages and pics messages will be reduced from what the media works paclage offers now. Take it easy.

I have the SX66 with the latest BT patches to take it to build 3500. This does work alot better and reduced my static. The problem that I am having now is that when I use my moto HS820 headset in the car, the background noise is unbearable to the person on the otherside of the conversation. If I connect my heaset to my moto V600 the background noise is all but gone? This test as been repeated many times and always the same result !!! It seems that bluetooth headset useage with the sx66 can only be done not more than 3 feet away and only in quiet places. I Guess the moto has some sort of noise elimination circuit in the handset ?? Anyone else able to use their headset with the sx66 in the car?

my phone all of a sudden justs default to the default ringtone fr no reason. even if i chnge the settings it still rings to windows default.

Well, i been doing alot of testing with the bluetooth, and i found out that only very few headset work with it rite now. Im willing to help everyone out, but please post me how your the patch works for you. Also im gonna be posting a website to help you all out. I am still helping everyone with the bluetooth patch, but please tell me wat headset you are using so i can help you better.

I know that Cingular has pulled this phone for sale.I was wondering if anyone has been experiencing a greater than normal amount of dropped calls with this phone?I can have 2 or 3 bars showing up on the meter. While talking on the phone it just drops the call. I have been a Verizon customer for the past 12 years. I am new to Cingular. Came over to Cingular because of the SX66.I never had dropped calls with Verizon. If you had 1or 2 bars the call worked.I was just wondering if its Cingular network or perhaps one of the reasons the phone may have been pulled?I read on the board here about issues with bluetooth. But, one would think that bluetooth could be easily fixed through a simple download.Is there more to this? Hmmm.My quest...

The SX66 does not have a voice dialer. Siemens suggested that
there may be software that could enable the phone to have voice dialing, but
oddly, they were unsure, not to mention unhelpful. I subscribe to Cingular
Voice Connect, but without the phone having voice dialing ability it is not
totally "hands-free". Does anyone have a clue if there is such software?

I recently bought the Siemens SX66. How do I set up wifi at home? I currently have 2 computers with a switch. I do have a wireless router but it's not hooked up.

Also, what is the best bluetooth headset to buy and what can I buy to make my computer bluetooth compatible.

Hey everyone I have a few concerns about the sx66 I purchased. Just want to know if any of this is normal. Well first of the terminal services function doesn’t work if you are trying to use a port. I found a resolution for it with some 3rd party software check it out.
