Since theres no forum for this one yet, and the S710a'ers might be more intersted in this than anyone else....
Did you hear about the K750??? 2mp camera (sadly, CMOS...but it cant be that bad)!!!! The screen isnt as big, but still awesome. 91mb built in, and DUO support. (might be duo-pro...but who knows).

If the picture quality in this is good, Im going to be looking at this phone for a while. And I hope its not as expensive as the S710.

Engadget has a blurb up about the K750. I don't know a whole lot about so I reserve judgement. Cmos camera just doens't do it fro me - even if it does say 2MP on it.

more than anything i think it'll just be about what form factor you want. i read at HoFo someone said about may, so i read December of '05 for the K750.

what i think i might do is recommend it for my dad to get, cause he wants to be able to bluetooth from his lappy aswell. so maybe i can get him to get that and then give it to me if i want it and i'll give him my s710a.

but when it all gets down to it, its about form factor, my friends.

(in regards to what you said about CMOS, remember, the samsung D500 is CMOS, and it's almost as good as the s710. so it (italics) may (end italics) be alright.

Cmos and CCD. They are light sensors in digital cameras. CCD is what is used in 99.999% of digital cameras (non-phone type).

The reason CMOS is generally thought of as a lesser quality sensor is because the CMOS sensor does more than just convert the light into electrical charges (thereby producing the image). A cmos sensor can do some image processing among other things. Because of the extra tasks this sensor is doing it often results in a lower quality image with more 'noise'. The reason they are used in phones so much is because they run on lower power, take up less space and are cheaper to make.

Hope that helped!

I just wished that this phone looked as good as the S710. And the screen looks really small to me. I changed my mind from my first post, I still want the S710. The S710 is definatley hotter, but the camera on this sounds nice too. I guess a 2+ megapixel will be good for my 3rd (overall) phone.

BTW, OT I know, my dad said he might get me an S710 as a gift for when we move to Cingular!!!!

The screen will probably be 176x220, which compared to the S710a is I suppose 'small'. 2 megapixels is nice but if it's true that it's going to use a CMOS, then I'm out. I want my S710a and I want it now as do we all so Cingular or Sony Ericsson, whichever or both, hurry the (BLEEP) up!!!!!
