Looks like Vodaphone wont be the only carrier of the SE V800 (to be labeled V800i for non-vodaphone users). A pretty sweet looking phone.

And then you'll have all the RAZR drones cryin' "It's not AS thin as the RAZR!!". Maybe not. But, it's got something very very very good going for it, it's not a Motorola. It's got features the RAZR couldn't even dream of having. Surely a RAZR slaughterer! 😈

Perhaps. If anywhere it'll probably be on T-Mobile. Or maybe on Cingular's distant WCDMA network. Personally to me, for being a clamshell that thing looks a tad bit big, kind of like the Z1010. Long also. But maybe it just looks like that from the pictures.

I agree...I took a look at it and I felt that it was rather goofy looking for a clamshell.

I'm not going to say I know everything here...but it sounds to me like WCDMA is a section of umts - of which Cingular is developing WCDMA coverage - my area (Atlanta being first).

My research comes from here:
https://www.phonescoop.com/news/item.php?n=869 »

and here:
https://www.phonescoop.com/news/item.php?n=895 »

and my understanding of UMTS and W-CDMA comes from here:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=79424 »

So before you go bashing my bro, Hero, A) try to understand what it is he's saying and B) be a little more polite about it cause it sounds to me like he knew what he was talking about (scary 😁 )

Do your research, WCDMA is another name for UMTS. It's sometimes referred to as 3G.

Not only will they have the black Razr v3, but they have will have a candybar style (Slvr VšŸ˜Ž

So looks like they are going to run with this razr style to try and get their money out of it.

Also, Samsung announced the first slider that doesn't look like the rear end of an elephant (personal opinion).

The keypad on the Samsung reminds me of a RAZR, blugh!

RAZR is all hype and not an once of anything more. If I really wanted to invest my money into it, I'd just go with a V551 or pretty much any other Moto, same sh*t all around.

I was with Nextel before Cingular, had a Moto i730 and i710... 😳 Man, I dunno what Motorola is doing over there but surely they aren't doing anything pertaining to engineering cellular phones. Just very expensive paper weights that don't even do too good of a job at that.

I use nextel for work ( an i58sr) and I can't stand it!

Yeah, that samsung has similar design to the keypad but at least there is some function behind the phone as a whole - and a slider that isn't big and bulky is nice to see.

Of course there is nothing behind the razr except marketing - which is why we hear about it all the time. People are drawn in by the slim lines and thing "this is a good phone". It's what Motorola strives for.

🤣 Very expensive paper weights....

Motorola has slacked up on their quality..they were pretty good a LOOOOOONG time ago, like when I had a Star-Tac...the phone that everybody and there mother had, but afterwards...it was down hill from there.
Remember the P935 2-way messenger? They were so bad, they don't even make them anymore....I have an old one sitting upstairs, collecting dust....

Yah, the star-tac was a pretty good phone in it's day. I had one that lasted forever.

Hey I think this woman at work had one, it sort of looked like an electronic translator and it said Motorola on the front flip up part, I was wondering what it was so I asked her. She got all ****y and replied, "What do you think it is?". Umm, I dunno, maybe a weather controlling device?! 😳 Durr, I asked for a reason.
