Sony Ericsson S710a

Are you guys going to get the PSP when it comes out? Or have any of you gotten the DS? Or is anyone getting both? I think the PSP would be right at home beside the S710a on your laptop satchel. I'll get everyone a PSP when they come out if you send me proof of purchase of your S710a.

Let's just say they should be out before March 1....I keep hearing 21, 25 and a whole bunch of other crap.... ☹️
I'm just going to say to myself they should be hear b4 or by March 1, this way, my anticipation won't be too much for the disappoinment that may follow. 🙄

I got your email with the release info of the S710a. I see it says Caroline Marketing Announcement, does this pricing and release date apply only to the Carolinas? Or does "Channel: Available for sale in all channels" mean that this is nationwide. Thanks in advance! 😁

Looking at the SE website I see that you have to do a special pop3 setup on their website. Lots of pulldown menus seemingly reveal no pop3 support for the gmail that we all love ☹️ The only way I know to get around this is to have my Gmail forwarded to my hotmail account which is supported.

Anyone have any better ideas? (Besides torching this or that building in retaliation)

Also, SE used to have a little plug-in thumb keyboard. I almost bought one when I was using a T68i but never got around to it. Any idea whether or not those still exist (didn't see 'em on the SE web site) and whether or not one would work with the S710a?

well i was considering getting the 7610 from the cingular website but, to my suprise, its not on their website anymore. with the s710 being on the sbc website this sure makes my decision easier.

this is so damn lame.

i called in and ordered a plan on the 9th with unlimited media works.

they didnt activate the phone until the 11th (when unlimited media works was gone), so now they wont give me unlimited media works.

this is such bull, im furious

Checked the warehouse this morning and they are there. Limited amount though. Store should have them before the 25.

on the sbc website the s710a is going for 399.99 ona 2 year. does sbc sell the phones out right? if their selling it is their any department that would now sell it over the phone? i could not find this out? and any one who works here at cingular do ya hav a good number to call the nac? they seemed to hav disappeared and hav this meesed up ivr that does not help.
i cant wait to take this phone to hooters!!!

The store I'm at is a mall kiosk. There are 3 (THREE) other Cingular dealers in here. I just got a phone call from my mgr telling me that we have to bring sales up. Sales have been low recently. I get frustrated b/c we have too much competition here (oversaturization of the product). Cingular needs to realize that more stores does not always equal more sales. Plus, I think that since the merger with AT&T, the criteria for getting a low deposit (or preferably NO deposit) has changed. I can remember when we used to always get zero deposits when running credit checks. We would get a lot of $150'...

I just wonder when us contest winners will receive ours... It would be really cool if they were on our door steps, delivered by storks, the day before release 😁 Hey you never know...

is starting to change.. If you go to specifications under S710, it now lists 'Support for the S710a' and 'Compare this Phone'. Then if you try to go to most other sections it remains. I suspect sometime during the day it will no longer be 'Coming Soon' 🙂

I'm really thankful to both Sony Ericsson and Phonescoop.com. If Sony Ericsson hadn't released this phone this forum wouldn't exist. And if Phonescoop.com didn't exist nor would this forum. Meaning, I wouldn't have had the pleasure of meeting some of the coolest people...

The subject pretty much says it all... hopefully the info to support the rumor will also support the 2 s710s per store theory.

Personally, I don't get it... My store got 4 Razrs in December when they first came out. We could have ordered more but chose not to. Heck, we could order more now if we wanted to - hasn't been discontinued yet. Doesn't seem to jive with the theory.
