Sony Ericsson S710a

I guess some Cingular store clerks are treated like crap or forgotten about by Cingular because I called on yesterday to find out if they knew when the s710 was coming and he said December but he till didnt have it. I guess noone told him the phone was delayed...funnier when i asked him when the store would have it he said sometime next week. He is either a pothead or treated like crap by cingular.

how much you think i could start for a opening bid on ebay? it will cost me 385 for the phone after my 30% discount.

From past SE phones, or like models, does anyone have an idea how well this phone will do at recieeving and holding onto weak signals?

Can anyone tell me if the S710a will be available through 3rd partys or ONLY Cingular?

I have SBC at my house and when I tried to order a plan and the phone from the website it said I don't qualify for the offer. WTF??? I called them too.. nobody knew ****. I hate this phone, it's gonna be old by the time I get it.

So, we're all ready for the phone, but does anyone know what type fo cases are available. (Aside, from the Universal ones from Sony)

I know this is a selfish thread, but i haven't posted in a few days (i had exams/project due), so i wanted to say hello to everyone all at once! I am a little bummed because amazon doesn't know when they will get the phone and i cant get their rebate anyways(i want to merge lines and i would have to wait 180 days)!

So I went into a few stores in Manhattan during my lunch break (we literally have some stores right next door to each other or across the street, I know its sick, just like Starbucks, on every corner literally).

Anyways I asked if the S710a is available at every store and wanted to cross reference to ensure I wasnt getting a standard answer, everyone was very helpful and stated that the phones have been released however, they do not have the phones yet but would have them mid-late next week. One rep was very honest and said that they do have dummy phones and advertisements but not the real phones.

I really hope they have them the middle of next week.

Everyone settle down here, i feel tension and im on the computer... It is TRUE, some stores have it and some dont, here in lubbock texas, they do have them and they are for sell, as of this morning, they have only "a couple in stock", and it is for sale, however some stores, as if called around and found out do no have it!!.... Finally, we will soon have it!!! Congrats to everyone who has it!!!!!

Was just wondering - obviously you can access a contact with the swivel closed to make a call. What about speed dial numbers? Is there easy access when the swivel is closed? Or does that need to be done with the swivel open? Could be an issue - really, really, really want the phone, but I like the ability to quickly speed dial with a clamshell. Anyone have any experience here? Thanks

Anyone know of a place in Boston where I could pick up this phone? I have one Cingular place set to call me when it comes in because I am switching over from Verizon specifically for this phone. But was hoping there was someone here that worked for cingular in the Boston area and we could help each other out. Any chance?
