Sony Ericsson S710a

Not sure if this helps anyone - went ino a corporate store today, mentioned the baby, and left my card. They said they would call as soon as it gets in and sign me up. I work right net door, and told them you have an upgrde and a purchase in 5 mins. They had heard that the phone is being delivered to LA and NC, they anticipated Mon - Wed delivery and ability to buy.

What is the first thing you are going to do with your SE S710a (after placing the SIM card in and powering it on of course)? Will you call someone? Play a game? Take a picture? Record a video of your pet peeing?

I think I'm going to turn it right back off first to see the power down media. I know, I'm wierd. 😕

I was trying to take pics of it next to the Nokia 6230 so people could get a sense of its size.

I just played with the Sony Ericsson S710a for awhile. Its awesome! Looks great, features great. First phone I can say, they did it right. Only slight issue is keys feel a bit small and recessed. Definitely get it. I just have to figure out whether to just buy it or order it through SBC or Amazon. I wish I knew how long its going to be b4 Amazon has it in stock. They will let me buy it today by the way. I'm in CT

I was looking at the S710a on Esato.com and they state under the stats that the memory is expandable to 1GB... Perhaps it does support Duo Pro? We'll find out soon!

DUMB QUESTION:

I've heard that Motorola blocked their Bluetooth Headsets to only be used w/ moto phones. Is this true...or can I use my HS850 w/ the s710a?

I spoke with the local bestbuy cellular guy and he said the s710 is exclusive to cingular stores ONLY. how depressing. . . . 😢

I have solid evidence that the S710 will be released on 2/21/05... Not sure when they will be received in stores but Cingular has launched it... Anybody with CSP access will see the launch announcement.

On another note... Has anyone who won the phone is the S.E. contest found out when the phones will be shipped to winners???
