Sony Ericsson S710a

I just got off the phone with cingular and ordered my brand new S710a with insurance and fedex overnight. i'll be seeing it tomorrow, baby!!!

i called 3 stores and no luck. one store told me early march! ☹️

Just got mine about two hours ago!

Cingular corp. store in the King of Prussia Mall (SE PA area). The guy said they got them in last Thursday! I stopped in there (on Thursday) to see if they had them. The guy said they got them in literally an hour after I left. So, I basically waited 3 days longer than necessary 😛

He said they got 3 in, and they had already sold one before I got there. So, if anyone in the Philly area wants one, you'd better hurry!

2-yr price was $449. I opted for the $549 no-contract price, with my 30% business discount. So, $385 OTD.

I was wonderin about the amazon s710a, what i mean is if we order off of there websit will the phone still be the same and come in the cingular box and everything, i want to add a line to my moms plan so can i do that from amazon and also a guy who rated this phone on the user reviews said this phone came with everything so will ordering off of amazon give me the same thing, i love this phone and i would gladly pay 400 on it but the way my mom is i need to get it a little cheaper then that .

I called my store and my buddy said he would hold one for me as soon as it came in. Could be today, or next few days... about damn time 😁

Went to a few Cingular stores today and they have them in stock, only 1 or 2 in stock. The two stores I went to were very secretive about having them, but I held it in my hand and compared it to my GU87. I almost bought it except for the rep talked me out of buying the first batch of phones. He told me that the first few phones that come in always have problems and that I should wait two weeks. He actually talked me out of the sale! He said that the first phones always tend to have bugs in the software, citing the Treo 650, SE z500, and nokia 6320 - all great phones but stated that the first shipment of each were all returned. Very knowledgeable sales rep and explained a lot to me, very honest too. So I guess since I waited this long,...

For the owners of the S710a, how is the phone? Has it lived up to your expectations, hopes, etc.

How is reception? As a GU87 user this is key to me, 2 years of poor reception is torture.

I bought mine from Cingular store saturday and it was $449 with 2 year contract if anyone is wondering. I also migrated over from ATT so that should answer other ppl questions about that.

how does the s710a compare to the new nokia that will come out? It also seems to have edge, bluetooth, 1+ mp camera?

How is the S710a with organization and professionalism? Is there a good datebook and/or calendar? Does is sync with Outlook, and if it does, is the GUI for contacts, appointments, and tasks user friendly and effective?

Some of the threads say that you can buy the s710 through telesales and say they have 380 phones in the warehouse... but i called the number and they still have no clue (at least for WA). What gives???

everyone says it comes out tomorrow Feb 21st yet i call every store and ask them and they still dont know WTF IS GOING ON this is so much bs its not even funny anymore...im seriously going to switch to nextel tomorrow if this phone isnt out

Question.... What's the browser like. I know it has a WAP browser and a cHTML browser, I'm not really sure about the capabilities of the cHTML browser though 😕 . Any info would really help... Thanx!!! 😁 🙂 😁 😉

one store in town (out of like 6) just got their dummy s710, what's the usual wait from dummy to real phone? he said they are supposed to be shipped to the store on the 27th... anyone?
