BlackBerry 7290

Hi,
I was for 20 minutes on the phone with the AT&T customer service regarding my Blackberry Device.

I recently moved to Europe and I got this Blackberry from a friend. In order to the Blackberry to be unlocked the woman on the phone told me either to send a bunch of info to a fax number, or get into phonescoop.com and ask if there is a way of getting the unlock code for this device with the IMEI code. Does any of you have an idea of what to do?

Did this model of BlackBerry have BlackBerry Messenger on it?

When I remove the 7290 (tMobile) from the holster it displays the phone menu (call log, my number, etc.) instead of the home screen, even though I don't even use the phone feature on this device. Is there a way to change this default to say the home screen, or, my email inbox?

My Friend has the 7290 BUT it is on the T-Mobile System... I have Cingular... Will it Work on My Cingular Network if it is From the T-Mobile Network????

The internet you get w/ the blackberry is it just like the internet through your cell phone provider or is it like the real internet?

I'm having information overload and need major advise!

I'm self-employed and travels all over North America. I think I've narrowed down my options to the 7290 or 7280 - but there is a $300 price difference. Is the difference worth the money?

I need the blackberry because of the emails. I've never had a blackberry, so I'm not sure what i really need. To narrow it down I need to make phone calls and send/recieve emails...

Is there a better option?

Does anyone know how to unlock the bluetooth functionality on the 7290?

i like both but the black berry looks a little more fit but there is no camera. Can the bb hold pics, play games, do you have to sinc with outlook to get emails, can you text message or just email, and on tmobile vers is the internet decently fast or completly slow. so which is cooler sidekick2 or black berry 7920. 😁

Does this device support bluetooth 1.1 or 1.2?

Please advise. Which phone is better? Is it really annoying to have a phone and just use blackberry for data? Work in real estate, dont absolutely need to respond to emails right away...

Also, which is better Cingular or T_Mobil?

In idle mode does anyone notice that there is not a light blinking , usually green with other devices( but in this case nothing ? When it is charging the light is red and even in the profile option you can set it but only if you miss a call or a new message comes in .Has anyone found to make it just blink when the phone is on and in idle mode ? Hi I am new to the world of Blackberry and I wanted to know if you were able to edit,compose and save Word and Excel documents on this blackberry. I see "view attachments" but that makes me think that you can dowload and view the attachment and send it to someone but not that you can edit a document or even create your own document. My friend is going to Law School and she is looking for a PDA phone. She wants something that supports those applications. I told her to go with the Treo 650 but she likes the blackberry better and the Treo is a bit pricey. How do you turn up the ringer on this phone? It is really, really, really quiet and I figure this can't be right.

I am shopping for a t-mobile 7290 without a contract extension and i was looking on ebay. somebody just listed 10 with new activation/extensions only and said that is the only way they are allowed to sell it. I checked on the T-Mobile website and the 7290 is no longer listed!

Anybody know what is up?

I am researching Palm Treo 650 and Blackberry 7290. Palm will hotsync with Microsoft Outlook folders easily with the Palm software. Does anyone know about the Blackberry software? I am looking specifically for the calendar/task list and then a public folder - contacts!
