Call Verizon Mobile Web Office 866-788-9387. I have been informed Mobile Phone Tools can only be used for the phone contacts. Because of Vcast and EVDO, the phone cannot be used as a modem. It is written in the contract...damn!

First, what do you mean by "synced up with my pc? It does not sync to the pc, it syncs your contact and calendar.

Install the USB driver as I listed in an earlier post and follow the instructions, it should work fine for syncing contacts and calendar. Once installed, you can also use it for a wireless internet connection for you laptop when you are away from a phone line or cable.

I think you may have a bad install. If the driver is correct, it should not ask you for anything, it just installs and sets up the phone, assuming it is connected. The program doesn't care if it is cdma or gsm.

Are you sure you are using the right software, Motorola Mobile Phone Tools, v. 3.25b?

I would:
1. disconnect the phone.
2. delete the driver from device manager.
3. uninstall the program
3. delete any directories that were set up on your drive
4. re-boot
5. download and use only the USB driver I provided in the link on my instruction post. (Some drivers out there I have found do strange things, I know this one works!)
6. plug in your phone and follow the instrucitons I posted earlier on how to install the driver. It sh...

The e815 will ONLY work with the latest version of MPT 3.25b. After updateing, check it to see it is now the correct version.

I would also recommend a re-boot after updating just to be safe!
