Can't download any attachment

I have read most threads and I cannot find an answer to this. Every attached file I try to download as an attachment gives me the following message: "unable to download message 1. Try again later" The file I'm trying now is 9kb. The file does not play and it won't download.

Is there a setting I'm missing

We can't really tell you! You didn't give us enough information! 😢

What type of file is it? Was it converted? What steps did you do EXACTLY to send it and download it? What was displayed on your screen and was there a 1/2 at the top? If so, did you go to 2? Have you ever been able to download anything? Like what?

The more info you give us the better we can come up wi...

YOU HAVE TO CALL VERIZON! I had the problem and had to wait 24 hours before they were able to fix it. It is an error with your account setup and some otf the features are disabled. You have to call, there is no other solution

C WIGGUM is right. Just about every time I have upgraded my phone (LG 6000, Moto V710, Moto V815, I had to call Verizon to update my account. However, they were able to fix it right away-- I never had to wait 24 hours. By the way make sure you call customer service from another telephone so that they can check your phone settings.

I called tech support and they "fixed" the problem. While speaking with tech support all I had to do was go to the get it now screen and click on the shopping cart. After it connected my digital features were activated and I've been able to download.

I appreciate all the suggestions. 🙂

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry about the lack of details.

I have tried mid(9kb) and mp3(213kb) files. I tried attaching the files to an upload at forformobile and I tried attaching to an email from my web mail account. The files were not converted. The email and text messages were displayed on my screen with the download selection on the screen. I select download and get the unable to download message. the was not a 1/2 at the top.

I have not been able to download anything. I have had the phone for about 2 weeks. I have tried following the mp3 downloads steps from this forum and have failed to successfully download anything.

Thanks for the help.

Go to one of the free ringtone sites, download a "real" .mid file to your computer then email that to the phone. Make sure you have something in the subject and body, even if it is only one word (some have said this helps). Make sure the extension is .mid, not .midi.

This will help eliminate some problems and see if you can download at all to the phone. A real .mid file should show on your phone with a 1/2 at the top, move to the second page, where you can play it and save it. Then it can be used as a ringtone later.

No I wasn't. Tech support needed to activate my digital services. Digital services appear to be off with this phone quite office.
Thanks
