Help Please or I need to change Phones
Hi I need help. I got my phone earlier this week and I am truly an LG fan as I loved my 6000 phone. It had good reception Hardly never drop a call. My problem is like some others I am having problems with Volume on a call I go from good volume to none then back up again. Really sucks when you miss have a conversation and you don't know what the other person is saying. Also I am really getting no reception and dropping so many calls since I got this phone when the LG 6000 got really good reception and never dropped a call. I love this phone and really don't want to give it up but I may have no choice. Can anyone help me keep it or suggest another phone that will work and have everything that the 8100 has and works. Thanks for any help...

I have had no call issues. You might want to make sure that auto volume is either off or on. If it is off turn it on and see if it helps and if it is on turn it off. If it does not help then I would trade for the Moto e815

Hi,
You might want to check a few settings and try turning them off to see if that helps (go to call settings, voice privacy (switch to off) and Auto Volume (switchto off).
The other thing to try is from your phone *228 option 2 and follow the directions (maybe its not getting the proper towers in your area).
Hope this helps and Good Luck!

Viewing the other threads earlier I have turned off auto volume and changed to standard for voice privacy. Volume still fluctuating. I have also done 228 several times. Getting frustrated I really like this phone.

I'm having the same problem as well. Hopefully some type of software update can fix this problem. I really like this phone and am not willing to give it up!

Hello
I am having the very same problem I have turned off auto volume and voice privacy to standard..........and it was an issue tonight again...............I really love the phone but my husband is being deployed and I rely on his nightly phone 2 nights in a row I have had to say wait a minute I missed what you just said.......very irritating............I went from a 6100 that also had some minor glitches but not like this.....I would hate to give up the phone.............husband has to take top priority right now..........although if he was home it would go to the phone...............lol

Just got the vx8100. The sound problem was repeating then I moved the phone a little to make sure the speaker was right over my ear. Perfecto! Maybe the 8000 was so big I never had the speaker in the right place? We'll see how it goes this week with the 8100

I had the same problem when trying the demo a second time just to be sure. I tried all of the fixes above, plus-this was a tip from another poster- I made sure that the plastic they put over the earpiece when you first get the phone wasn't on there. Easy thing to overlook- I did that when I made my first call with the 8000 I got and thought oh, no but then realized the plastic was on there and it made a huge difference.
FYI, The verizon rep got the 8100 that afternoon and knew about the delay in the camera and taking pictures and said they were going to come out with a fix for that at some point, but he didn't have info on volume and wasn't sure if it was a quality control issue that some folks have this issue and some don't. It may be ...
