LG VX-8100

Guys I sent mine back. The Bluetooth was VERRRRRRY Staticy, VERY THICK.Camera Stunk up a binch.....The E815 is So Much better except for the front screen. its not bad but not as god as the LG's. And the Speaker phone is loud on the E815 i dont know how people were saying its not loud enough......Its the same as the Lg's in my opinion....

why do you idiots argue over e815 or 8100. it depends what you want on the fone. i want mp3 player, and 8100 has way more memory, i can put a 1G sd card, while e815 only is capable of 256. some others might want bluetooth, and maybe the e815 has better bluetoooth or osme other stuff.

phonescoop (and some other sites) are idiots for stating this phone has 512MB. when they say 512MB, they make it seem that it has 512MB flash memroy, while it only has 64MB. The phone is built with 512MB, but they use that for programs such as get it now or phonebook or pics and videos and ****.

I am looking to get the 8100 next week when my $100 credit will be available. I currently have the LG4400, just curious if anyone knows if I will need to get a new vehicle charger or if the one for the 4400 will also work for the 8100?

I read somewhere that the 8100 will not suport a 1GB card. is this true? if it does, is it worth the 100 bucks, will a 512 be enough for movies to be tranfered too? any help on this?

What is the best resolution to have the camera set on for everyday pics? I mean, I know I can change it from pic to pic, but what is the best to keep it on for when I just pull the phone out for a quick shot with out time to "set" anything up.

doesn't seem like there is much coming out from Verizon in the next couple months (according to phone scoop). Seemed like when the 815 and 8100 were planned they were on this site months ahead of time. I have the 8100 and unfortunately have marginal reception at my house. My old samsung a610 can work with it, the 8100 drops calls and sounds like crap to the people on the other end. So even though I love the phone's look and features , I have to return it and wait for something else... or get the Nokia 6682 from cingular when it comes out. ☹️ Do people think Verizon will get something in for the christmas season?

i went to bed last night with my phone dead, charged it at 3 am, took it out at 8ish as (whoa, day ja vo, and again). anyways, now its not even 1 in the morning and its already dead again!

anyone else find these symptons!?

I was just wondering how often does Verizon release updates for the phones?

I had the VX7000 and do not remember ever getting it updated but my memory did say it was full even though the phone was only 36% full. I had the phone sent in for an update but it did not seem to fix the problem at all.

Ok now to the glitch I found in my phone. I was going through the backlight options and noticed that my main screen backlight was going off fast no matter what length time I had on the backlight. No matter how long I had the backlight set for it always goes off after 7 seconds. I had to set it to always on to get it to last any longer than 7 seconds.

Maybe the update will fix that issue.

Silly people and their haterisms

If you have a bluetooth handsfree device (ex.: BT250v JABRA), and you upload movies and shows and MP3's (.mid, whatever) to your VX8100, can your bluetooth play the sound for those, without any sound coming out of the speakerphone/headset it self?

I seem to remember some number you could dial on phones to refresh the tower list? I love the phone the only thing that is making me consider returning it is the bad reception in my house.

I live in a rule area and I still use anolog at times. Does anyone know if the 8100 can still get anolog on it?

According to the e815 forum the moderator removed negative reviews for the e815. Why have they not done the same for this board?

I encoded a short video I like into 3gp and saved it as my exterior wallpaper. It stops after reachig the end, however, and the screen turns to black. Is there any way I can set the wallpaper to loop continuously? Thanks!
