I don't know if I have seen this on this forum yet but I might have missed it. Today I was taking a simple pic of my kids and the phone died.....none of the buttons worked.couldn't even shut the phone off.......in the end I took out the battery and restarted it.........and it returned to normal. Any help I can get I would appreciate.....Thanks

The picture button is in the middle under the clear button. NOT the RED END button 🤭

Yeah I had that problem too onley when I tried to surf the web and it went to white screen and buttons were inactive and phone couldn't be shut off, it onley was able to turn back on after I recieved a call, after which restart removed the problem, Aneways I got a phone replaced today and so far I'm pretty happy 😁 😁

What I was trying to say was that I had already taken the picture and the phone completely froze...I could not save it......... clear it.....or even shut off the phone........the pic was on the screen and I could do nothing else except take the battery out

How long did you wait before taking corrective action?

Sometimes the phone's processor needs a little more time to continue (I think). Try waiting a little longer before "rebooting."

It's a software issue-- my 8000 did that a couple of times and the only way to get the phone to work was to remove the battery.

Good Luck trying a new one.

Yeah, I got one on the 14th and then replaced it on the 18th - still had the volume issue, etc. My guess is that (and I really don't know b/c I'm not a tech person) the new batches shipped won't be any different until they do some type of software/firmware change, in which case you could just take your current phone in and have it updated. I don't know how all that works... I think that if the volume issue is actually a faulty piece of equipment in the phone (rather than an software bug), then everyone should be entitled to one that is RIGHT!

Come to think of it, what is most likely the cause of the volume problem - software/firmware or an actually faulty piece of something in the phone?
