LG VX-8100

When you add a ringtone to Bitpim, you have to first convert, then here comes my question....Do you have to change the sec. of play or choose a "clip" or can you just put the whole thing on? Is it too big that way? I know it won't play the whole song, obviously it will go to voicemail after about 30 seconds, but do you really need to change that?

In one of my previous posts, someone mentioned hearing about (from Verizon Support) a Version 5 software update being out - but their local store hadn't heard of it.

Does anyone know anything about this?

This may be navie...well yeah it is, but in any case wouldnt be cool if u could post things on a phone forum FROM YOUR PHONE?

one of my friends gave me a moto hs810 headset.

can i use the moto headset with my 8100?

i've already tried to install it and the message i keep reacieving is no devices found.


steps i followed let me know if i'm doing something wrong:

1. make sure boom is closed
2. hold down the power button till lite turns on.
3: flip boom open indicator should be on now.

4. go to menu blah blah hit zero blah then hit pair devices, then new the search new.


after this i get no devices found?

if someone can help i would really appreciate it.

I figure this question may aleady have been answered, but I am wondering what stereo headphones everyone is using to listen to mp3s on their phone. I want to find one on ebay but don't know what to search under.

hello everyone i recently purchased my 8100. well actually on my 2nd one the volume problem was really bothering me so i took it back.

ok my question is does n e one have the link to videos that were already coverted.

i was browsing the site a week ago and i notice someone took the time to covert some episodes of family guy, dave chappell and sinfield. i thought i saved the link but i was wrong.

What is the best settings to get the best sounds out of the ringers using Bitpim (sample Rate) (Bitrate)? 😁

I have a Ridata mini SD card and for some reason when i put my music on it it only saves 10 or 13 songs!! (this is a 512 mb card!!!) on the list in the computer it shows all of the songs i put on it, but when i put it in my phone it only shows a few of them, i already checked the total amount of letters on the names (less than 47 characters) and all...do any body know why this happens??

Has anyone seen the H700 yet?

I know that by default you can not use the speaker with the flip closed, but I got the impression from another thread I read that someone has figured out a way to do it. I would very much appreciate it if anyone can shed some light. 🙂

I was thinking about buying the VX8100, (an upgrade from my VX7000) however, one thing has kept me from making the leap.

Ringtones. I make several of my own and was wondering would I loose that ability to add by emailing them from my MyPhoneFiles.com account. Or is there another method involved.

Any help passed on would be appreciated.

2 Questions for everyone using Bitpim.

1) I know i can see the info that is on my mini-card from BitPim. I can't seem to upload stuff to it directly. i am i doing it wrong?

2) Does uploading mp3's to your phone somehow screw up using Modtones or Music station, not that i would pay to use that ripoff anymore.

I received the Cardo Scala 500 today. So far, I'm not as impressed as others have been. My wife had a long drive home this evening, so during our call, I switched between three headsets to see which sounded best for me, and for her.

She rated the Moto HS850 as the one I sounded best to her on. She said both the Jabra 250v and the Cardo Scala were not clear. She said the Jabra had more static, and was the least clear of the three, but both the Jabra and the Scala made my voice sounded muffled, and as though I had a bit of a lisp.

Also, I had conversations with other people while using the Scala, one from the car and one from home. During the conversation while in the car, the recipient commented about how loud my air conditioner wa...

Just got the miniSD plugged in and got some mp3's loaded into the my mp3's folder.

I can play em, but getting the player to actually PLAY is a little strange.

I have to hit the play/pause button a bunch of times, then back and forth until it seemingly 'decides' to play a song... so strange. Tweaked around with the eq - but was bummed that you have to stop playing songs to do so - because I keep running into my weird problem with the 'plays when it wants to' part I already mentioned.

Kinda fun to be able to let it play through the speakers - never had a mp3 player that had real speakers that did more than just beep.

Anybody else had the 'plays when it wants to' issue? Any fixes?

i have downloaded the xilisoft video converter 2.1.54 build-918 version and it works just fine but it will only convert the first five minutes of a movie/episode. It requires a registration code for the full duration of the video. Does anyone have a code for this version of xilisoft? Or is there another program just as user friendly as xilisoft that will convert entire episodes (family guy 🙂 into 3pg files to put into my flix? It does not have to be xilisoft but will enable you to take audio from a movie and convert it into an mp3. (i was able to do both with xilisoft; video to 3pg format and audio from movie to mp3 format) Is there a better program that will do all of this? thanks

why is it that whenever i receive a text or turn on/off the phone, a full array of colors light up, but when i make/receive a call only the blue and purple lights light up? I want to make it so that all the colors light up wen i make a call but i dont know how... anyone with advice?
