LG VX-8100

Ok so I got the latest update and everything seems to great. It did fix the camera problem. One thing I noticed is that the picture on the screen is pixelated. Is this just because of the screen? I did send a picture to my computer and WOW I was impressed with the quality. It does take great pictures. Do you need to have a card for the Mp3 player to work? Becuase it doesn't work with songs I have in my ringtone folder. I have a 512 card on the way and am excited to get it. I know it can handle 1G but 512 should be enough for what I need. I got a data cable and it works great. I love this phone and what it can do. Heres one question though. For some reason my voicemail message sounds unclear and my voice sounds like a kid. I had an old "cassette adapter" that I used years ago to hook up a portable CD to play through my car.

I bought a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter at Radio Shack for $2.99 and hooked up to my 8100 and guess what? Stereo sound from my 8100 mp3's over my car stereo. It rocks!

Also - you can hear incoming calls over your stereo, even movies, etc.

8100 4-ever!

Will there be a smaller replacement? I wish they would of put internal in this phone but none the less, its there standing tall.

Does Verizon offer a utility to convert video clips taken on the phone? I've had some luck with Super but, can't get audio. Thanks.

I just got the VX8100. I have a song saved in the My sounds folder. Is there a way to set this as a ringtone? Thank you in advance.

I was just poking around the VZW website comparing phones and..BAM up pops a chat window. Not that will give you any trade secrets or anything, but at least you don't have to burn 3 gallons of gas or wait on hold forever.

I know this has been posted before, but I am having real problems here (technochallenged that I must be!).
Finally, I got a USB data cable. Last night following Josh's directions I tried to do a ringtone. Yikes!!!! The phone started doing all sorts of scary things--would shut off and then reboot when I attempted to go to sounds-caller id. Would not ring, shut off and reboot when I called myself from the land line.
I have a ringtone loaded on BitPm. But I am really scared as to what to try now. I honestly have NO idea as to how I "fixed" the problem last night--kept hitting reboot and refresh from BitPm.
WHat have I done wrong?

I have a 8100 and everytime i set my phone to manner mode ( I have a ringtone i downloaded) It plays the ring tone and doesnt vibe when i get a message. But when i set it to the ringtone that comes with the phone it vibes..does anyone else have this problem

Is there a strong possibility that the phone could be weaker then the next 8100? Is it possible that the strength on the phone it self could be weak? Im considering taking my phone back, i got this 8100 the day it came out. Have never exchanged it but the bluetooth is the only problem im having with it. Verizon says there is nothing to tweak with the bluetooth itself but they could order me a new (refurbished) phone. Im tempted to do this. Mine is slightly scratched as well i have dropped it a few times and once out of my shirt pocket straight on the antenna onto the pavement. Thinking maybe i jarred something. Dunno.

I wish they had the headsets charged up and on demo for use with these units so the people buying the headsets coul...

I do know the difference between DUN and WAP....just mistyped what I was thinking. I just think that most of the things on these sites are illegal...the workarounds included. I am not here to argue whether or not these threads should be allowed but what I am saying is that if they are going to clamp down then lets CLAMP down. There is no in between. Like I said before...Illegal is Illegal. And yes I get your point that these are federal laws that are being broken but stealing from a corporation is illegal also. So does PhoneScoop condone that? Then why allow it then?

In closing lets get one thing straight to the rest of you... I am the first to stick it to the man but if we were all in court UNFORTUN...

Ok, I realize this may have been covered in a prev post, however I can't find it, and I have searched. How do I view what's on the Mini SD card from the phone? Is there an option in tools that I'm not seeing? Can I import things from that card to the phone's memory?

Where can i buy the cheapest mini sd? The one on the forum web, digital123.com or something like that is out of stock.

CAN vx8100 take 1GB of mini SD or max 512?

I just bought the 8100 a few days ago. I also own the 8000, have to return one of them, but the built in BT feature drew me to the 8100.

I also got the Motorola BT headset. I am not at all too happy with this unit. The sound quality really sucks, imo, and I'm wondering if I should just stick to my 8000 and a wired headset. I saw the Jabra set for the 8100, but it seems large and bulky.

Any suggestions? Are there better BT headsets?

I just picked up a 512 mini sd card, but i didn't get a reader. I have a usb cord and I can access the phone from bitpim. I am wondering if I can see my memory card while in bitpim and add mp3 files to it? I really do not want to go buy a card reader at the moment. If I can access the memory card, what is the directory? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
