LG VX-8100

Has anyone figured out how to use the speakerphone with the flip closed? I know on the 6100 it could be done, how about on the 8100? Thank you in advance for the information.

I have not looked at this site for awhile, so i am sure this stuff is old hat.....

i am just using my 8100 like any phone, and i know this phone has lots of capabilities, but i don't know where to start.

Can i make my own ringtones? how?
do i need a usb cable? if so where can i get one?

what are these tv shows everyone is getting?
how do you get them on your phone?

what speakers work best?

what bluetooth set is best?

my SW version is t81vzv01. should i update?

Okay ... I'm not sure if something is up or what and I'm not sure if it happened pre-V04 but I've had an issue which is not exactly repeatable but has happened a number of times. That is... I make a call after the phone's been "asleep" (i.e., device on, but display off and essentially not being used but waiting to be used) and she looks like she's making a call ... i.e., the call timer starts going, picture ID (if there is one) comes up, etc. but I hear NOTHING. The person I'm calling will answer the phone (so the call actually gets made but I have no idea) and wonders why I'm not saying anything. So apparently it's both send AND receive that's wacky. I never hear a ring nor anything. So I hangup -- hit Send-Send to redial and it works ...

Do i need a USB 2.0 card reader? what does the PCMCIA mean for card readers, and where is the best/ cheapest to buy from, and what should i look for? is it compact flash compatible i'm looking for? Thanks.

I am new here and have a question. I was using Get It Now to look up ring tones. As I was looking at some ring tones to choose from, I noticed seeing the screens appear that you see when the phone is starting up. It did not make any sounds, it just showed the start up screens and went back to the get it now screen. Has any one seen this problem. I plan on getting it re-flashed this week, to see if this solves this problem. Thanks for any advice.😲

Is the VX-8100 a clear 100% upgrade versus the VX-8000 or is there any reason to prefer the VX-8000?

I bought 3 VX-8000's on July 2nd so I guess I can switch them out for VX-8000's until July 17th.

Of course I've just spent a bit of time setting up and customizing the 8000...

Ok, just curious, i have read the other threads but am between the 8000/8100. Other than size why buy the 8100? The BT will be crippled right? And from what I hear BT is static filled with the headsets cuz it is "new" technology. The SD card will be crippled so you can't put your pics on the computer. Why pay the extra money?
Right now I have the vx4400 and NEED to get 2 new phones asap....is it worth the cost and time to wait for the 8100??? Is there a date that someone knows but hasn't said for release? ANY help is appreciated, my fiance and I are in dier need of a new phone but don't want to make the wrong choice.

I have been searching through this forum for over an hour and have come across alot of info on how to enable your 8100 phone for DUN. but I have not found specific instructions on how to setup your laptop to to connect to the internet through your laptop. I was able to do this with my old phone the VX4500 using the Verizon Mobile Internet program and a data cable. Will this still work with the 8100? also is there a way to connect to a high speed internet and how would you do that. I am sorry if these instructions have already been published on this forum, but I could not find them. If so please point me in the right direction. Thanks

Can anyone tell me if you can have more than one bluetooth earpiece paired with your phone. I have a HS850 already, but I would like to get another one (probably a different type) and be able to switch back and forth between them.

Hey! My friend just got an E815 and I have a 8100 and I got the two to connect and now i just wonder what can I do with it?? I can't figure out anything I can do...any help would be nice!

Any Palm users here? I'm thinking of upgrading my Palm PDA. My questions are:

1. Palm Zire is BT compatible. Would I be able to use the 8100 BT to get email on the Palm?

2. The 3gp videos I have downloaded for my phone; would they also play on the Palm? I see the Zire w/camera also has video capability. Same as our 8100 camera??

My reason for asking #2, is that I'm wondering if I could take the miniSD from my 8100, put it into the miniSD to SD adapter, plug that into the Palm and play my mp3's, 3gp videos, etc.

I know there are some pretty tech-savvy people here, so I'm hoping someone is also Palm familiar --- NO PUN INTENDED.

samsung is releasing the a950 music phone not the 970. This phone looks just the same as the 8100 but silver in the front with red border. Has all the play/ fwd/ bwd/ and stop button also a little turingin wheel in the front to scroll thorugh the mp3's. Its in the info manager so i guess its coming pretty soon. Also has an internal antenna, looks real tight.

I read in this forum a while back someone saying that the card had a 121 limit for the mp3's no matter what size card we used or the amount of memory left on the card. I dont know if anyone disputed this but that was a false statement. Mine can go above that. I have 125 and the only reason I havent gone further is that I am too lazy to continue dragging and dropping...lol

Has anyone seen lg's actual bluetooth headset coming out. It looks pretty cool and I am kinda of disapointed in my scala one. Just seeing if anyone has any info on it or knows when it is coming out.

I just purchased this phone this week. I am able to sync it with the system in my Lexus to make and recieve calls. I can not transfer my phonebook. Anyone know of any info out there that will help me along in this process? Any help would be appreciated.

I spent a lot of time reading these forums deciding which phone to get, got the 8100, and think its awesome.

Now that I have the phone, PhoneScoop isn't as riveting, and I am in search of a new gadget or something of the like to excite me again.

I am 20 and have a fair amount of disposal income, and my birthday is around the corner and I don't even know what to ask for.

Any suggestions of cool new high tech things to get or read about would be appreciated.
