i cant get mp3's on my phone, I heard you had to convert them to midi, Do you and how do u do it?

hey guys just new to the thread.. i just got my phone the 8100 and then the data cable from an ebay seller.. once i imported the pix and sounds from bitpim to the phone my phone was not able to use vcast get it now mobile web or take pix and send them do any of you know if you use the cable for this phone in any way shape or form will it create that same problem or what is wrong with my phone...??????

What's the highest you can set the camcorder resolution on this phone? Any way to get it to 320 x 240?

on/off animations changed after update
I noticed the default on animation changed after the update. It now advertises Vcast rather than show you the city & lighthouse on the inside. The outside lcd does show the old animation still.
I wonder if there is a way to get new animations. Anyone know?

A friendly warning about 2.5mm stereo adaptors
I just got two "stereo" adaptors off ebay that were list as stereo. The adaptor does have correct amount of contacts but it only plays the right sound channel.
I just figured a warning would be helpful to some others.

eBay Data Cables--Anyone Tried Them?
I think I have read on here that many of you have purchased the data cable for the 8100 on eBay--for a much lower price than lg offers it ($39.99!). And I think/hope I am ready to try using one to upload my own ringtones, etc. So--my question is, those of you who have tried the eBay cables--(1) do they work with the 8100 and (2) from which seller do you recommend buying?

Ring in ear ONLY!
Dont know if this is old news but you can have the phone ring in your ear ONLY by placing the phone in vibrate mode and plugging the headphones in. The phone will then vibrate as well as ring in your earpiece ONLY. I have been looking for a way to do this for a while.

Supplied Adapter with the Jabra C120s????
I've tried buying the Jabra C120s from my local VZW store and also the 8100 package that includes the Jabra C120s and neither have came with the supposily "supplied adapter" that makes it so that you can hook up the C120s to a regular MP3 Player. Does anyone have this adapter? How did you get it? Does it work well?

Does anyone know if there is a way of voice command to use the default number 1st? Always prompts alphabetically, home-mobile-work. I know you can switch the numbers around, but that can be confusing. 🙄

H700 Bluetooth Headset
Did some checking. Should be available around the 15th of October. 30% smaller that the HS850, but now has 'RapidConnect' (guessing that eliminates the delay on incoming calls) and adds noise reduction and echo cancellation, Sound good. 😛 😛 😛
